I got a PSP fat 1000 from my friend at school for $30 :awesome: with Peace Walker, Battlefront 2, Midnight club 3, and a PSP movie.

The PSP runs 100% perfect, but... the only problem is when i run the internet on the PSP it takes a long time to load and when it does load up some crap comes up that says The connection to the server timed out.... I connected it to my router and i got the 6.60 up date for the internet...

Can anyone help me with this?

Sounds like the connection is bad for it. E.I meaning your internet, wireless, is too slow or bad to connect. Happens to me when the internet is bad.

Try scanning and seeing what level of connection you have. Its probably around 30-40 percent for you. :hmmm:

AFAIK the PSP wasn't designed to be an internet capable device.

Internet capable handhelds like the iphone and ipod touch with 128 MB RAM can load multimedia in the form of youtube clips and other memory consuming applications decently.

With the PSP you're stuck with 32 - 64 MB RAM. Basically the equivalent of what a PC had before the year 2000.

Its pretty much doomed to be slow with slow loading times due to hardware limitations & you won't have the type of rich multimedia browsing experience a person would normally enjoy with a PC.

I doubt PSP software was designed and implemented well in terms of internet connecitivity. A lot of people seem to struggle making PSP's internet capable.

It may be easier to just use a phone or something that was designed & built to browse the internet. Less headache that way, maybe..

Blah, blah, blah.

I did scan it like 20 times and when I scanned it had a 100% connection each time, and I also borrowed my other friend's psp slim 2000 to see if it would do the same thing to his and the internet worked perfectly on his psp.

Hmm, perhaps something is wrong with the part of the board where the switch is (near the top left, the one you have to switch on for WiFi). Is there a chance the internet settings in your PSP being edited? Might be a problem there, or at least I hope its something else and not board related.

There not really much point using the psp for web browsing... cuz it has such small ram.... Like nearly no pages will load on there :/

Hey I finally fixed the internet problem on the PSP and it works just fine!, so thanks you so much to those who helped me! :)
