Black Sabbath are soon to release a special CD called 'The Dio Years' which will obviously be a best of release featuring tracks from the Ronnie James Dio fronted albums; Heaven and Hell, Mob Rules, Dehumanizer and possibly Live Evil. To make it extra special they are recording 3 brand new tracks for this release aswell as touring in suppport!
However they have chosen to go out under the name Heaven & Hell instead of Black Sabbath because the original line-up that reunited in the late 90's are still officaly together despite not having released any new material since the 'Reunion' live album (and that was only two new studio tracks!). And drummer Bill Ward, who was originaly up for this project, has since droped out and Vinnie Appice (who was Wards orginal replacement during this era anyways so thats good) has stepped in.
Eitherway its great, Black Sabbath and finally releasing new material and playing Dio-era stuff for the first time in yonks! I'm definitly gonna have to catch this.
