As promised, Take That have returned after ten years. I didn't like them much before they left, but since they've come back, I've gone crazy over "Patience". The chorus sends shivvers down my back, something only magnificent songs do, like Hikari and Advent: One-Winged Angel.

I'm trying to get my hands on the album. When I do, I'll be able to say more, but for now, what do you think of their return? Yay or nay?
 
Heh I was a slight fan of them back in the day when boybands took the charts by storm. But I say a slight fan because I favoured the Backstreet Boys. xD I wasn't really sad when Take That broke up those years ago. A lot of people cried and I was like: "What's the big deal? o_O"

I'm glad they've returned though. I like them a lot more this time around and I do have their album. Dave, if you want, I'll zip up my copy in a folder and send it to you?

There sound is a lot more...mature, but I'm not sure if that's the word. It's less poppy, that's for sure. I need to listen to the album in more detail though, I've only played it once and that was for my Mum, and I wasn't really concentrating at the time. xD

A yay though, that they're back. I think it would be so nice for the fans if Robbie returned, but he's far too arrogant, and doesn't think of those people that are called fans, who put him where he is today. No, they're far too 'unimportant.' But that's an entirely different story. ._.

Admittedly, I'd probably have the same reaction if I heard them a couple of years ago. But I really think their sound is so much better than what it was back in the 90's.

It's just not my kind of music y'know.

i've never really been a big fan of that kinda music, I make exceptions sometimes but, I've never been the biggest fan....so to speak.
 
Oh wow...I've never heard of them!

Were they big only in Europe or something?
 
I hope this is the same Take That I'm thinking of. >_< If it is, then that's awesome that they're back. I've only heard one song, though. Pretty good. It's on my playlist.

I think the word you might be looking for is "modern" or "Updated", but either way, I know what you meant. Oh, and remind me the next time we speak, I'll get that album from you. Thanks in advance Becki :D

You know, I automatically hated them when they came back, do you know why? It's because they were an older group. I have a thing for out-dated music, I hate it, simply because it's old. Bad, I know, because there are some classics out there. But once I heard Patience, well ... I made this thread :P

Garnet, I don't know how well-known they are, globally, but if you haven't heard of them, then they likely didn't leave Europe very often. At least not on business, anyway.

EDIT:
Garnet, have you ever heard of Robbie Williams? Well, he was part of that band before it took a break. He's now a famous solo artist.

I'm quite the opposite, I prefer older music, most new music is rubbish in my opinion, with exception to a few obviously.
