You know, I probably wont like this movie. Dont get me wrong, I love HP. I looked on voice actors and I saw something that angered me. I saw that peeves had no voice actor, meaning he isnt going to be in the movie. That means that he cant continue with the extra funny part in the book where he sets of fire works and does all kinds of mahem.
Another thing is that they wont be able to stuff the whole story into it. The 4th one wasnt as good as I thought it would be ethir. The thing is, they are just to big to get the whole story in. If they wont a truly great movie they should just break down and make it 3h. Anyone think along the same lines I do?
You know, if those other three new Star Wars movies (Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, Revenge of the Sith) were made around the same time as the Harry Potter films, I think Daniel Radcliffe (sp?) would've pwned the guy who plays Anakin Skywalker in all three movies. With longer hair, he kinda looks like he'd be a Jedi-turned-Sith type of character, PLUS he's a better actor.
ON TOPIC --- Harry kissing Cho = <3. That part of the trailer just made me grin.
I swear why dont you guys like the part in the book about Peeves? It is the best [funniest[ part in the book. And im concenred that it will be way to short
I've never read the books, so I can't say that stuff like that will irritate me. I like the films for what they're worth.
But I do understand how irritating it can be when a movie doesn't follow the book's storyline. I was pissed beyond belief when Disney raped "Ella Enchanted". Now THAT was a book that had potential to be a GREAT movie, and Disney fucks it up.
Well, dont you think it would be funny to watch peeves make all kinds of trouble and mayhem? I think he's so funny in the books and the PS1 game Socerers Stone! He says this about harry at the part where he si trying to destroy the curses "Potty wee Potty, we're so ugly we belong in a zoo, if you look in the mirror it surely will crack, so the best thing to do is wear a nice sack!" I love that part so much. Anyone played it?
I'm not so sure I'll like this one. I watched the last one twice and on the second time I fell asleep in below freezing temp. in a drive through. Tells you how interested I was in it.
It's probably extremely difficult to make a book of that size into a movie. Of course it wont follow the book completely, the film will be adapted so it is a film. I bet they'll miss loads of things from the book simply because they don't have the time to fit it all in. It doesn't mean the magic of the book will be any less in the film, if you get me. I think as long as the ideas are there, the film will be successful.
Perhaps they just don't see Peeves important enough to be put into the film at this point. Maybe they want to make the film 'darker', less humorous, I don't know. I think it's a shame, however. They could have had so much fun with Peeves and his pranks, I bet the audience would have loved him.
