For the members of FFF I introduce one of the best fighting games to date rivaled only by the likes of St and Street Fighter III.

New Mechanics:

A notable change to the mechanics of the previous games is the "False Roman Cancel", or "Force Roman Cancel" as it is called in Λ Core, which is similar to the "Roman Cancel" available in previous games, but generally requires much more precise timing, and is only possible with certain moves. False Roman Cancels require only 25% tension, can be performed even if the move does not hit (including projectiles), and generally are used for offensive pressure or mixup.
Air Throws now are possible, and one can grab Recovering characters and even Burst Attacks. Also, Aerial Dust is available now.

Guilty Gear XX Λ Core is the most recent version of Guilty Gear XX released to Japanese arcades on December 20, 2006. A home console version on Sony's PlayStation 2 was released on May 30, 2007 in Japan. A Wii version of this game was released on July 26, 2007, also in Japan, complete with support for the Classic Controller and Nintendo GameCube controller, along with a setup using both the Wii Remote and Nunchuk. Aksys Games released the PS2 version in America on September 11, 2007 and released the Wii version on October 16, 2007.
In addition to balance changes along the lines of those in #Reload and Slash, Λ Core features a new type of special move, the "Force Break," which consumes 25% of the Tension bar when used. Most characters have gained new special moves, and some have had existing specials (or powered-up versions of existing specials) converted into Force Break attacks. It also introduces moves that make opponents stick briefly to walls or slide across the floor of a stage. New additions also include "Slashback," a form of parrying with reduced block stun, and throw breaks.
In addition to its gameplay changes Λ Core features the first major aesthetic change for the series since the original release of Guilty Gear XX. All voices, including that of the announcer, have been re-recorded (or replaced with previously unused samples), sometimes by different actors. The playable characters artwork was also redone, and two new music tracks, Launch Out and Keep The Flag Flying, were added. Since this revision has been made to balance the game, two characters deemed illegal by tournament standards, Justice and Kliff, were removed from the game's playable roster.
Both versions of the game feature three gameplay modes per character, based on the Guilty Gear, Guilty Gear X, and Λ Core fighting systems.

I am going to be attending EVO East and SBO for this game coming soon so if you have any question or wanna get into it let me know and I'll definetly show you the ropes

Me and my friends have been playing this for a while ( admittedly AC+ which has Kliff and Justice as hidden characters ), it's the first of the XX upgrades where there's actually felt like there's enough to almost be a sequel, if they'd just added a few characters then this could've been Guilty Gear 2 rather than Overture...

I don't know if I like the changes they've made to Slayer, even Potemkin seems to have more ground combo potential than him now, but I do like the changes to Potemkin funnily enough! The crouching kick being able to pick opponents off the floor is quite evil.

Chipps' new teleport with the dust button is also a godsend, I've had more victories with him on AC than the three previous XX versions just for that bit of mixup in his teleport aresnal, not to mention his force break from his grab special ( HCF + Kick ) is nice to have as an option if they guess what you're doing.

Anji's new tech moves are interesting, but I've only really been able to find a use for them in his EX version, which is evil. With his guard point Dragon Punch becoming a normal special as well as Guard Point.

That's the only characters I've really been playing with so far, I've never been anything of a GG pro, so there's probably tons more with those characters I've missed.

Sengoku Basara X is evil man the game rocks!

Anyways I've seen enough with Slayer during all my play time in this game and Slayer is still by far one of the best characters in the game. His damage output is only Rivaled by Potemkin (Pot Buster FRC shenanigan bs) and Jams bs fb puff ball into 2HS, 6HS, HS and so on...

Chipp isn't too bad because he has plenty of reliable mix ups it's just that he has the "I can die on one combo" syndrome so you basically have to play hit and run constantly unless your fighting Johnny then you can run circles around him.

Anji is somewhat of a mixed bag. He had awesome combo's in slash resulting in 200+ damage to your health bar for ridiculous mix-ups and unblockable gimmicks, and guard points up the ass. In Accent Core he has those combos but they cost tension to do now and also his defense game sucks because he can't get out of pressure for Jack shit >_<
