God Among Us?

I'm just curious to know... No, not about the literal God in our lives and the Catholic sort. (I'm Catholic by the way) But in the sense of Haruki Suzumiya... And no, it's not a discussion about the anime.

What do you think about the idea that God might just be a person living among us humans, and actually making things happen in our midst?

I think it should get some rather interesting answers, so yeah, fire away!

Might be a dream some folks have..maybe you have that dream but it isn't so.

God is an eternal being and not a person.

As for God doing things among people, that obviously isn't happening.

I'm asking for opinions about a hypothetical situation. Let us assume the case that God is actually a person, and he makes things happen in our midst - though without us knowing. In such a case, what is your opinion?

What if god was one of us, just a whore like one of us? Well, if you take the stance that god is omnipotent then there really is nothing for it to gain by doing that, if you believe that god isn't omnipotent then I guess you would find him in my local bar, hitting shooters as I explain why he got it wrong.

God is one of us, because we are all gods.


Because apparently succinctness is not valued here, allow me to explain. There is no reason to think any single human has any more worth than any other. Indeed, there is no reason to think humans have any worth at all! The idea that some bipedal ape could control anything greater than themselves is absurd, especially with some undefined mental superpowers.
