I'm at the end of the game, the Sky Fortress Bahamut appeared, and I decided to go after some of the ultimate equipment (mainly the Tournesol and Masamune) and the rest of the Marks. I have been doing alright with the loot collecting for the Tournesol until I found out how much the Canopic Jar (to get the High Arcanas) was. 250,000 Gil, I only have over 222,000 Gil now. I have been having Gil problems all throughout the game and it took me a long time to get to this amount. >_<

Seeing that, with how much the Tournesol is (600,000) and the Masamune (350,000): Where is the best place to get loot that sells for a lot of Gil?

Generally, the key is to just spend some time in an area and build up a good chain so that the drops improve.

The best place that I can recall was in the Henne Mines. There's a room not too far in that spawns a big pile of flan enemies once the switch is flipped. A Fira or two will easily destroy all of the flan, which is a great way to rack up a high chain. Loop around the long way to get back to that room and flip the switch again to trigger the spawning. Rinse and repeat until you have enough loot.

Regardless of the place you choose to build up chains, it's going to take a while to build up that kind of money. That's the disadvantage of having some of the greatest weapons the game has to offer.

Good hunting, either way. :monster:

There are two easy ways to make money, as long as you are at a decent level (65+).
One is available after the Roblon hunt. Simply go back to that area and kill the Dead Bones. Their drops (I think Ancient Bone and/or Blood-Darkened Bone) will give you around 2,000 gil each. These Dead Bones can also be found in Stilshrine of Miriam, as long as you defeated Zeromus, go back to the same area.

Another way to gain money is doing the Behemoth King hunt, it is difficult to get it to spawn, and even harder to kill, but your special reward if you listen to the guy who gives you the hunt is 500,000 gil and a Rod of Faith.

By the way, the Masamune can be received by doing the Gilgamesh hunt, make sure you steal the Genji Gloves though, or it's pretty useless.

My way of farming money is on over seeking eternity where the undead spawn. There is a bunch so you will chain fast, they give good EXP, and you can steal equipment off them that sell for a decent amount.

Thanks for the suggestion Rapid Fire. :) I beat Zeromus (which was pretty challenging for me, at level 67.), and got to that area. I found out that 99 Blood-darkened Bones sell for 142,065 Gil. That means I'd have to do that around 10 times to get the Gil needed for the Tournesol and Masamune. Not too bad actually, doesn't take too long for me to 99 of them.

The reason why I'm wanting Masamunes is because of the 50-minute Yiazmat strategy. I saw it translated on GameFAQs and want to try it out.

I think I have over 3,000,000 Gil now. I accumulate these by selling loot to those vendors, it's amazing how some loot are common and valuable, such as the Bloodstained Necklace. You just have to go where monsters normally drop valuable loot, then sell at the stores. Eventually something will pop up at the Bazaar: rarely did something pop up to me, though. D: That's why I have got so much money.

I got the Tournesol, one Masamune, and the 500,000 Gil from beating Behemoth King. I don't have a problem with Gil anymore. :)

Thanks again for the help. :)
