Just wondering what some Good Gambits are. I've bought everone that I could so far but I can't seem to get a good system going. I'm still early in the game, Giza Plains just turned to the Rain Season for the first time. Any tips would be a great help.

Already know that Raise should come first, then Cures but after that not sure how to set them up. I use the Status ones for my charters (ie. Ally Status = sleep - Alarm clock). Just looking for some good ones that will help with enemies. Thanks

You have to use good combinations in your gambits, ie.

Party leader's target.....attack.
Flying foe...................fira.
Ally HP critical.............curaga.

If this needs more explanation, let me know and I'll help more.

The priority of your gambits should be KO=Phoenix Down, then have a descending order of ailments, the worst ones coming first, like ally status stop and disease and sap, being sure to use items such as alarm clocks, vaccine and remedy. Then the last two(in normal situations)should be flying=thundaga and lowest HP=attack, for your leader. The others should have the same except for party leaders target=attack.Different situations will demand changes, though. But definitely focus on status effects first.Just my humble opinion!:)

Truthfully, I think gambits are overrated in the beginning. Set up the attack ones (like attack and magic for fliers) but for healing and stuff, just press x and do it yourself. I think it makes the game more fun actually having to do something. Later in the game you will definitely need to use a lot of these to stay alive.

As for what they are, Savior, they tell your character what to do in specific situations. Like, if you set one to Character: Any Cure and put it as the first one, they will keep healing until everyone is at max health (and maybe after, not sure). It allows you to control what they do without telling them every time.

i dont much use gambits myself i do things on my own but it is compulsary to have gambits

I agree with manual control on boss battles, but monotonous grinding and lower leveled monsters I put the cruise on.I prefer turn-based old-school rpg's,but since the gambits are there,I'll use them.:)

I always put healing type Gambits in the first slots. First is 50% or less health for my team with Cure spells. Then Phoenix Downs, Remedies, etc.

Vaan, always my team leader, just goes for the closest one and attacks with sword. I'll interrupt when needed for a spell. Fran always ends up hunting for flying with spells or bow, then targets whoever is closest. Any other memeber usually attacks the lowerst HP enemy to cut down the enemies' numbers.

here's what i use

haste......on self
bravery......on self
attack......closest enemy

talk about RAPE

I put my number one Gambit as "Allie status KO = Arise". The following 5 or 6 would deal with healing status affects such as disease, slow, and silence.

I didn't put my attack Gambits until my 6th or 7th slots because if I get stuck in battle with some Cursed ailments, I want to heal them first before I hack away at the enemy.

i have one person that has the most mp to heal the party. thats the first priority. 2nd i have that person attack. then all the other gambits are curing or raise. then everyone else is attack first cure second. seems to work for me so far.

I agree.. I have one person first priority is to cure then if someone really low cura. Then i have my attack guy set to attack on my target then if im not attacking he steals. So when im walking around he'll just run up to a target and steal unless i attack then he follows suit. His third priority is also to heal. So when no targets are around he helps the other one cure the party.

i just put the "ally: any - pheonix down or raise" first, then attacking at the bottom and if im runnin thro and area full of zombies ill put "foe: undead - pheonix down or raise" dead zombies, otherwise i like to play manualy like in boss battles and whatnot, but automaticly reviving is really nice lol and for attacking i useuslly use "foe: targeting self - attack"

I think the most useful gambits are the Foe Weak gambits. i.e.

Foe Weak: Fire - Firaga

And the others

well thats right those gambits do help in taking out the enemys quickly
the best gambits are in which everybody concentrates on one enemy
