Because the bank interest isn't working at the moment.

The same stupid reason it says you can rob banks while you're not actually able to. This issue has already been fixed in the most current version, but we're waiting until Gold release so we can fix a bunch of issues in one fell swoop. Ironically, the interest WAS working in Alpha 2, but we're long done with that, so there's nothing we can do (unless you want enemy bots attacking dead pets again ).
