Full Metal Alchemist – The RP
Imagine a world in which Alchemy is not only possible, but used frequently. Alchemy though, is a science, and with all sciences there are laws that must be followed. People cannot gain anything without sacrificing something. You must present something of equal value to gain something. That is the principle of equivalent trade in alchemy.
It has been a month since the events surrounding the Philosopher's Stone and yet the country is only just beginning to return to it's normal state. But not everything has changed, wars are still abundunt and the army has been spread thin. Also, due to events surrounding the entire army, many have deserted and joined the uprising that was beginning to form within Central City. Not only have soldiers left but also State Alchemists.
This story is the telling of this small war. What side will you join? Will you be an alchemist who has lost his title? A soldier willing to lose all to defend his country? It's your choice.

So basically you can be anything ya want. From state alchemist to chimera. You can be anything from the world of Full Metal Alchemist. I'll make a template soon but right now i'm knackered so i'll edit this post in a bit and do it.

Also you are allowed to see "the gate" but you must have something like Auto-Mail and give an in-depth bio stating why you saw the gate and what you were trying to gain.

Appearance:

Weight: 113 Lbs
Hair Colour: Light Brown
Eye Colour: Very light blue
Skin Colour: Caucasian
Build: He is medium build, he appears quite slim but is well toned.
Auto-Mail: Instead of his left arm he has Auto-Mail
Attire: He wears a white vest underneath a long black jacket. He wears baggy black pants and military issue boots. He keeps his State Alchemist watch on the right side of his belt.
Personality: Rene is an energetic young man who can be very naive and reckless and more times than not he will run into battle without thinking about the consequences. He is a very proud man and will fight anyone so long as it is head on and a fair fight, he hates anyone who uses trickery to fight. He is also very good natured and can earn the trust of most people. Whenever there is a girl he likes he is often shy around them and easily distracted. Rene can easily be provoked when people push the right buttons and most of the time will retaliate with either brute force or a wicked tongue (though most of the time he will mess this up and end up making a fool of himself). In a battle when he knows he is outmatched he will often become extremely nervous with obvious signs such as scratching the back of his head, moaning about his life and how he gets into these situations or his voice will become shaky and he'll make crappy jokes that usually provoke the person/people attacking him anyway
In-depth bio: Rene began to learn the art of alchemy when he was only five years old. His father had been a great researcher before he died in the war at Ishbal and taught Rene as much as he could. Rene's entire family had died and he was taken in by the one family that would. For many years he studied alchemy, trying to find a way for him to possibly bring his family back. Then one day, the house he lived in was set on fire by people who hated the use of alchemy. Rene's best friend was killed. In despair, Rene grabbed his chalk and created a transmutation array. He attempted to bring back his friend and saw "The Gate." his entire left arm was taken from him and he immediately went unconcious.
As Rene awoke, he had discovered that someone had given him auto-mail and left a note for him saying this: become a State Alchemist and you will learn how to bring back everything you have lost. And so he did become one, and ever since then he has read many books in the hopes he would find out what he needed.
