So I was viewing a few profiles and noticed that there's now a field dedicated to "friends." How do I add friends, or even, how would a friend add me?

It's when both users agree to have each other on their buddylists. Take this for example:
1. Riku saw my profile, and added me to his buddylist.
- I am now Riku's buddy on the site.
2. I then went and added Riku as a buddy on my buddylist.
- The site then picked up that we were both buddies on each other's buddylists which led to a mutual "friendship".
3. Riku now has my avatar and name in his profile under "Friends" and I have his under mine.
- Friends.
