I like how they did the back, with the images mixed in together. Although around some parts it looks sort of messy. I hope it looks around the same for the NA version (which I know it won't) but after all, it's only box art.

However... the box art in the corner of the Lightning PS3 looks extremely odd. The words are just smashed in the corner.

Anyway, I was tempted to get the Lightning PS3 but it's roughly $160 more, which is understandable but I'd never buy it for that much more. And who knows when it'll be released in NA.
 
Its pink...I mean i have nothing against the color but a pink and white PS3?

No thanks unless theres something special about the edition we don't know about yet i'm not getting it, sides i prefer my fat black PS3 lol.
 
The thing is with the Lightning Edition cover is that whilst it's obviously a cover which is why the name is down the spine, it's not really a cover for anything in particular. The box the Lightning Edition PS3 comes in is on the back, and the game cover is obviously the cover at the top.

I can only imagine it's one of those things in game shops where you give that box to the person on the counter and they give you the PS3 and game :hmmm:
 
The back cover of the Japanese box art looks pretty nice, although I hope the West get's something different, if only to feel a little bit special xD
 
LMAO! I really doubt that fancy pink and white PS3 is going to sell, especially if its like $160 dollars EXTRA unlike its cheaper brethern.

Cute, but I don't see that working out very well.
 
The image at the back looks totally cool.

My only peeve is the front and how it's arranged all together. It looks like they all slapped it on the night before it was due or something. I don't know...maybe I'm being too harsh. It's only box art after all and the NA cover'll probably look ten times better than that.

God...Lightning looks so pretty. It took me awhile to finally appreciate that. :awesome:

Trust me, it will sell. By the looks of images from game stores in Japan, even 2 weeks before release, it looks as if FFXIII could be the highest anticipated game there yet. They literally have rows upon rows of Final Fantasy XIII posters. It's got a bigger HDD than the standard PS3 which is a big selling point.

I'd much rather have that cover than the NA/EU cover, at least it's traditional. The NA/EU covers look vile :sad3:
