[[[Waves thrashing against his face, Tidus lay motionless on the pearl white sands of an unfamiliar beach. The sun burns the back of his neck, it causes him to awaken, instinctively, he ducks his head under the water, knowing not of the cut on his left ear, the salt water pierces his nerves like a blade and he winces in pain. He arose from the water and wiped the water from his eyes and gazed upon the island with ruins covering the vast beach, he was in awe of the beauty and it forced a gasp from his lips.
“Where am I?” he wondered. Suddenly remembering the events preceding his stranding, Tidus felt his wrist.
“Whew, I’m alive!” he sighed with relief. Drifting with the water off the beach, he tried to remember all that happened before passing out. It was very fuzzy, he remembered the Blitzball game and then the city of Zanarkand was attacked by a monster named “Sin”, his friend Auron had rescued him by giving him his father’s sword, they escaped the city after fighting through a horde of monsters that seemed to have fallen from the monster, Auron led Tidus through a portal and after that, he couldn’t remember a thing.
“Aargh! Come on!” he was driving himself crazy trying to remember, then he remembered Rikku, an Al Bhed girl who rescued him after he came through the portal. All of a sudden, Tidus felt an object slap the back of his head.
“Ack! What the…?” He searched the surrounding water for the offending object, he then found a spherical blue and white ball, and he recognized it almost immediately.
“A…Blitzball?” he was shocked, how could a Blitzball be here when he was no longer in Zanarkand? Unless…Rikku lied? Blitzball was a sport played underwater where a team of 5 players would aim to get the ball into the other team’s goal, a Goalie and another team of 5 would block their progress. Tidus couldn’t believe it, maybe he was back! Then a faint voice shouted to him.
“Hey! You okay?!” there were 6 blurry figures standing on the beach, Tidus then realized that the ball must have been theirs. He waved his hand to assure them he was alive, then he decided to show them he was a Blitzball player, he threw the ball straight up into the sky and when it reached it’s peak, it came back down and he let it tap his nose, it started it’s way back up and Tidus leapt out of the water and began to flip backward. Tidus sent his foot forward with all of the force he had and shot the ball whizzing through the air. One of the men stood to catch it, but realized it was coming at him way too fast, he let it fly past his ear, it sounded like a cannon went off right next to him.
“Whoa!” The men exclaimed. Tidus began to swim to shore, the figures became less blurry as he swam closer. They appeared to be dressed in the same uniform, a yellow vest and blue pants, Tidus then realized they were a team of Blitzball players. After reaching the beach, the man who appeared to be the leader, stepped forward and spoke, still in awe.
“You wanna…try that move…one more time?” Tidus was surprised, things were starting to look up! After the ball escaped their vision, the men were shouting and hollering, the leader laughed and patted Tidus on the back.
“You no amateur. Who you play for?” the men begged Tidus for an answer. And Tidus forgot Rikku’s words about not mentioning where he was from after being jazzed up from the kick.
“The Zanarkand Abes.” He spoke confidently. The men surrounding the leader murmured and Tidus remembered a moment to late. The leader asked him quizzically.
“What team you say again?”
“Uh…I meant…forget that. I got too close to Sin and…my head is all messed up. I don’t know where this place is…or even where I cam from.” He said looking at the ground. The leader patted his back again as the men surrounding him gasped, the men assumed a pose resembling a prayer of some sort.
“Sin’s toxin must’ve gotten ya, but you’re still breathing. Praise be to Yevon.” The leader assumed the same pose as the other men. Tidus remembered Rikku saying something about “Yevon”, but it was still fuzzy, and this pose seemed to be a prayer, maybe Yevon is a God? The leader then outstretched his hand toward Tidus and Tidus shook it.
“I’m Wakka, coach and captain of the Besaid Aurochs, brudda.” He said.]]]
This is only the first chapter, it's basically the whole scene at the beginning. >_> But I'm adding Therath (my RP Character) into it soon. I just need to start writing again. >_>
