Who would like to see a Final Fantasy VIII movie? Many people would probably frown upon this suggestion however I think everyone including Square Enix should give it a chance! They could construct the entire story by means of a kind of trilogy consisting of 4 separate movies dedicated to each disc or something like that. The whole plot has massive potential and I really believe they ought to consider making a movie. I know many will respond unenthusiastically on the grounds of disbelief, but it is exactly this kind of pessimistic approach from many FFVIII fans that force Square to be so reluctant. Instead of having a long list of responses that sing the same old discouraging tune, let's have some support and back up that may spark of a huge demand for a FINAL FANTASY VIII MOVIE!

FFVII fans got their movie, now it's our turn!
 
I would really love to see a movie for Final Fantasy VIII. The story was brilliant for it. The 4 movies could also like be the 'Lord Of the Rings' trilogy which was seprated into 3 films. If they ever thought about doing it they would do it in CGI which is bloody awsome. They have my full support if they decide, but I don't think they would ever though.:cry2:

as on gametrailers (another forum i'm on) our FF8 group, the 'SeeD Legion' have thought of that as a possibility and considered ways of exploiting possible area's that weren't unattended to unless it was an entirely new threat (like with Advent Children)... and we couldn't think of any... even though there are 35 SeeD Legion members, not one of us could think of an unexplored area in the lives of the main characters. even if it were a prequel or sequel, it would seem odd since they covered they're tracks well with the ending movie. or if they remade the goings on of FF8 the original, it would just be building on what we already know and leaving unimportant events out since you couldn't fit all of FF8 into 90 to 120 minutes of film. it would be at least 12 hours long to get the full game covered, and they would obviously have to work in the important battles, such as Squall-Seifer, Squall-Edea (disk 1 end) and they would end up with another 45 minutes of battle time, at least. so it would seem unwise to do a movie remake, and close to impossible with a sequel movie unless they bring in a new sorceress or a new enemy of some kind.

So, that's my take on the subject, as much as i'd love to see one. ^_^
 
If Square-Enix make a FF8 Movie, I think it'll be a great event for all the FF Fan, I willn' t be surprised if they make one other FF Movie ...
 
I think an FF VIII movie should be made because many ppl like VIII more than VII and theres room for more
 
there's always room to manouvre, it just depends on what they could do with an FF8 movie. If they try hard enough, they could find a way to bring in a whole new plot, the same way the SeeD Legion and i did. Remember Ultimecia fused with Griever?
we thought of the possibility that Squall and co. obtain that ability themselves. In which Squall fuses with Bahamut, and obtains Bahamut-like horns, clawed fingers, darker flesh, snoutlike face that resembles Bahamut's and his, a pair of wings and a tail.
see, the possibilities are endless. Hyne could be the new villian (if you don't know who Hyne is, i suggest you read one of my posts in the the "what would you do if..." my last one in fact)
