Square Enix recently announced that Final Fantasy IX will be coming to the Japanese Playstation Store as a PSOne Classic on May 20th in Japan. Shinji Hashimoto recently revealed more details via Twitter on the upcoming re-release on the Playstation Network.
According to the producer, Final Fantasy IX will costs 1,500 yen to buy, the same price tag as Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII on the Japanese Playstation Store. Furthermore, the size of the download is 1,550 MB. By comparison, Final Fantasy VII’s file size is 1,352 MB while Final Fantasy VIII weighs in at 1,820 MB.
Although Final Fantasy IX has no release date for the North American Playstation Store, Square Enix did confirm that the classic RPG is “coming soon.”
