This has been talked about as a rumour and now a screenshot from an article. How is it that yet there is no topic on this?

Seriously, how could this have gone undetected here or anyone not bothered to post it up?
 
Okay if they make the all classic series of FF all in 3D like that im deffiantly buying a DS that would be so cool,thogh my only bug would be how they cuten up teh characters like how the characters look on FFIII on the DS

i really hope to god that they dont fuck it up. I'd love to see an FFIV remake...i just dont want them to ruin it

The GBA remakes could've just been a project to see how well they'd sell
before they decided on DS remakes, after all, why go through all that work
for the DS if they didn't sell well.

Actually, I think FFIII was the key. Square Enix did say that since they recieved positive reaction towards FFIII they would consider remaking other earlier titles. I can't wait for FFIV and probably FFVI in a couple of years. Although if they did do FFVI, I wonder what Ultros will look like? You know, with him being a gian purple octopus getting on airships, opera houses or becoming a receptionist. :D
 
there are only two possibilities of his palidin form i can see and those are the castle (i think it is) scene and the octopus picture
 
I heard about this getting remaked. :) It'll be interesting to see all the characters in 3D and it's nice that they are doing something with IV. I'll probably always prefer the original graphics though. XD. I'll still definently be buying this. I heard they are taking Kain out of the logo though. :(
 
They are taking Kain out of the logo it seems in favour of the over-the-top logos post FF X that usually take up the whole game case and need widescreen support to view the whole thing in the title screen.

Why? Who knows.
 
I just typed a shit load of words, but the quick reply messed up... S now I'm half-assing this.

The graphics from the picture look good. If thats what they are, then I'll definately be picking up a copy. *Sigh* Although, all these remakes are just funding for the dreaded FFVII remake. I feel bad that I'll be supporting this, but FFIV on DS is just too good to pass up.
 
With the classics a complete graphical overhaul is quite an improvement and worth the money I think. The jump from 2D to 3D is always interesting.

FF VII remake on the other hand would be essentially the same just a little prettier with some voice acting. Making its worth questionable.

Then again Resident Evil on the Gamcube was an amazing reworking of the playstation classic.
If a FFVII remake could do the same without screwing up it's got my 40 quid. And sony will probably have my £400 if thats what it takes.
 
Ahhh i'm liking this the oldies should be remade just for the legend of the games. And i'll defo be buying 4 i'm loving 3 Atm.
 
4 was the second FF I played(although I've never completed it...) and I really liked the characters, story, music and battle system. I'd always wanted to play this game properly but now there's a re-make for DS I wonder which one I'll play through? I'd rather play the classic one first so then I can compare them properly.
 
A remake would be fantastic...however...i cant say i'm loving the chibi version of Dark Knight Cecil. Actually i'm hating it <.< Dark knights just...shouldnt be chibi... >_<

I kinda REALLY want a DS now since it's got the remakes of III, IV, and Tactics. It would be nice if they'd put Dissidia on the DS too, i want that game real bad.
 
As much as this is cool its well annoying cos ive recently bought FF1, 2, 4 and 6 for GBA and now theyre remaking 4 when im on the verge of completion? duno if its worth it tbh..
