Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Tales starts when the Final Fantasy black magician brings a picture book onto the Chocobo farm. This book is actually home to the great devil Bebuzu, and it sucks the entire farm into its pages! Chocobo heads on an adventure with the white and black magicians in order to stop Bebezu from reviving himself to full form.

Developed exclusively for the Nintedo DS, the game invites players to engage in dozens of minigames and microgames as they turn on the next chapter in the Final Fantasy frachise. You're free to move about through the game's picture book influenced world. Encounter an enemy, and you find yourself in a card battle, referred to officially as a "Pop-Up Duel." You and your enemies take turns sending out cards to perform attacks.

And I know some of you might not read the above... so here are some pictures.

Says a thousand words, don't they? ;)

And here's a rundown of the story:
SquareEnix said:
Once upon a time, there was a small, peaceful island protected by the crystals of fire, earth, water, and light.

On this island lived a White Mage name Shirma, a Black Mage name Croma, and a farm full of cheerful chocobos.

Just when it looks like everybody was going to live happily ever after, Croma brought back a mysterious book from his latest journey. Without thinking twice, he opened the dark tome and inadvertly invited misfortune upon the island.

Every nearby chocobo was sucked into the magical pages of the wicked book.
Unbeknownst to all, Darkmaster Bebuzzu, who had once laid waste to the entire world, had been sealed inside the pages of the book!

Luckily for the good guys, his strength was not fully restored... at least not yet!

The player takes the role of an unlikely hero, a chocobo, who must rescue his friends while stopping Darkmaster Bebuzzu from regaining his lexicon of devastating powers.

It looks so cute xD I'll probably rent it from Gamefly, and knowing me I'll end up just buying it off of Gamefly too xD Same thing I did with FFXII, DoC & FFIII :p

It's a fun game, and one of the best collections of minigames and microgames around. The card battles are fun, and the storyline is humorous. It has some pretty good music, and even for the DS system, it's got very good graphics.
It's a very good game overall, and I would recommend it to anyone who likes Final Fantasy.
