Final Fantasy Blog?

Hi everyone,

[FONT=Arial, sans-serif]Late last year I started to replay FFVII but ended up deleting my saves by accident. I am going to start replaying again soon and want to do some sketches and speedpaintings as I play. I was toying with the idea of creating a blog to put them on and possibly doing a running commentary on the game as well - not a detail of my every action - just my thoughts and feelings on the different aspects of the game as I play. I'm definitely going to do some painting, but I'm not sure if the running commentary would be of interest. I was wondering what you guys thought about the idea? Any suggestions would be great.[/FONT]

I think, Il stick this in FFVII section, although, if there's paintings aswel, Im undecided, if its more text than just paintings, it should be fine there

Oh, I didn't mean a blog in a forum thread, but using one of the web blogs. That's why I posted in general. Sorry, I should have been more specific.

I also forgot to ask if anybody has any links to FF blogs of note?

It sounds like a great idea to me - including the commentary. Of course, the more original and interesting you can make the commentary, the better. The speedpaints and sketches on your current blog look fantastic, and as you will know, FFVII has some very impressive and diverse locations.

Sounds like a really fun idea, I say go for it! About final fantasy blogs, a quick google search found nothing worth checking out, but maybe there are some hidden out there lol. Btw, love your sketches.

Anyhoo, FF Blogs are quite interesting to read, as it shows what one player thinks of the game throughout the playthrough, and if written well, they can be quite humorous and engage the reader. But at the same time, you need a crapload of free time to do one properly and in depth. A brief one is kinda lame to read, I prefer to read the more in depth ones xD

Wow! Great sketches. I look forward to your blog! I always enjoy hearing a gamers visceral reaction to the game, to contrast it with mine.

Yeah, I agree. I think it would probably take me roughly a year and a half to play through at a leasurley pace - painting and blogging as I went - and not letting the project get in the way of life and my other interests, but it's something I've been mulling over for quite some time.

I'll probably start playing later tonight so I'll write up a few entries and see how I feel. Cheers.

[FONT=Arial, sans-serif]Okay, I've bitten the bullet and posted the first batch of entries (including a few speedpaints to get the ball rolling). I will be aiming for 1-2 updates per week, although there maybe the odd week when circumstances prevent me from playing and posting. Please let me know what you think and give me any suggestions on what you think I could do/include to make the blog better. The first posts are rather formal just to get the ball rolling, but I do tend to piss about rather a lot so expect a little foolishness from time to time. [/FONT]
