At the Final Fantasy XV Uncovered event tonight, Square Enix revealed Brotherhood: Final Fantasy XV, a new five-episode animated series produced by A-1 Pictures.


The anime will focus on how Noctis became friends with the other characters in Final Fantasy XV. All five episodes will be available online for free, with episode one available today.


All episodes will air before Final Fantasy XV reveals this fall.

First Episode was interesting. I like that this is a completely free series. Only five episodes that follow the plot of FFXV before Noctis and co were friends. I enjoyed the first episode! I thought the dismemberment of the Niflheim troops was cool even though they are machines. Still rather gives it that dark tone. I REALLY did not expect an anime AND a FILM.

I quite enjoyed the first episode--impressed that it has Production I.G., A-1, and Studio Madhouse behind it. Honestly the animation wasn't that amazing compared to those studios' other work, but it was fine for what it is. For a 10-minute segment I felt it accomplished a lot and made me start to really care for these characters and the world they live in. Looking forward to the rest, although now I wish this was at least a 12-episode regular season anime so that it could go into proper depth. Kingsglaive looks like it'll more than make up for that, though.
