Help Final Battle*Spoilers*

Hey, I'm new here and seeking advice on how to defeat Safer Sephiroth. Up until this boss fight I was pretty much fine, only died maybe 3 or 4 times throughout the game but Sephy is kicking my ass.

My party consists of Cloud, Vincent and Tifa.

Tifa is my main healer and has Cure 3, White Wind Enemy Skill and Regen.

Cloud is my main attacker and has the majority of my enemy skills including Aqualung, Big Guard, White Wind and a few others but none that are important to this battle I don't think.

Vincent is my other main attacker, though not as strong as Cloud.

By the time I fight Sephiroth my characters are levels 59 and 58 so apparently I'm high enough to beat him from what I've been reading.

I have Clouds Ultimate Weapon, Ultima. Though this thing does insane damage should I use Ragnarok? It only is worse by a little but I don't think it has the same factor in that if Cloud's health lowers his damage suffers with it. Sacrifice a little power for consistency?

Basically what I do to start the fight is Summon Phoenix with Tifa, Neo Bahamut with Vincent and Big Guard with Cloud(followed by Bahamut with Cloud on his next turn) I also missed the Huge Materia to get Bahamut ZERO so he's out of the question unfortunately. After that it's basically trying to stay alive by casting Regen and Cure 2/3 with Tifa while the other two attack. I only have 2 Megaelixers and I try and save those for the Heartless Angel attack. I don't have Clouds Omnislash(is it that good? Should I get it)

I'm basically playing this for the story, and once I beat Seph I'm most likely never going to play it again so I'm just looking for the fastest, cheapest, whatever way to beat him. I've read about the Knights of Round(?) move or something but that seems like too much time for me right now and just don't feel like doing that if there's other alternatives.

Any advice is appreciated and sorry for the long post.

Knights of Round is a summon that you get once you have a golden chocobo and is the easiest way to do this fight (that's how I did it because I was in a hurry lol). Definitely get Omnislash. It's really not hard to get. And always have fury so you get limit breaks faster. Bahamut ZERO probably wouldn't help too much on this fight, but I haven't played FFVII in a while so I don't remember how much damage he does. And Ultima Weapon is the only weapon affected by Clouds health. If you're cheap, there's a little glitch to dupe items (your megaelixirs), but if you don't want to that's fine. But overall, if you really want to beat him fast, try and get Knights of Round (even though the Chocobo side quest might take a few hours using a guide).

Whats the cheat for the megaelixers? Each time I try and fight him all these battles take like an hour and if I die I feel like I'm just wasting my time. I don't care if I beat him cheaply b/c his moves are kinda cheap too to me

You have to have the W-Item Materia equipped and of course the megalixirs. First you have to select the item you want to duplicate and get ready to use it, and then choose any other item but as soon as you are going to use it on someone (arrow over their head), keep canceling and it will give you both items back and dupe the first one. The FF Wiki can explain it better than me but go ahead and try it with something else first

I would drop vincent cause the moment you use his limit breaks he is uncontrollable. The best team would probably be Cloud, Cid, Barret, Tifa or Yuffie. They all have really good limit breaks so pick some of them and try and get some good weapons on them.

When you start the battle you make three parties to fight. You only need the first party to get past this. Double cut will work better then 4x cut cause you can aim it directly to the center chest where he will die. So keep all your attacks focused on that. Use comet, contain, ultima, limit breaks and attacks on it. When he takes the dive you will now be face to face with the one winged angel.

Start the battle with all the protective spells you can. Regen, and wall work well. Big guard will add haste which will decrease the time regen stays on. After that you will be able to cast summons, attack, use limit breaks, cure, and all the powerful spells in your inventory.

If you need to raise materia levels and have a few elixers in hand, go to the area in the northern cave where you can fight magic pots. Throw an elixer and one and strike it dead. With a weapon having double or triple materia growth you will master materia real fast. The item dupe trick works great for this as you can just make 99 elixers.

througout my whole final battle I cast wall or shield first thing and use Regen followed by megalixirs, cure 3 etc... as needed. Have all ultimate weapons and limit breaks and chip away at Sephiroth. Also keeping pheonix and life 2 magic handy is a must. That's all I have for that one.
