Final Battle...help!

maybe i'm not levelled up enough , but Chaos destroys me within a few turns...

I don't have the NullALL like the videos on youtube seem to , maybe that's why?

What is the ideal level you need to be?

Well... I say head back to the Trial place with bahamut and call that crap. I killed Zombie dragons until I got to level 99, and they drop megalixirs.

Don't know if that changed in other versions of the game, though.

get a rats tail, go to the citidel of trials, get your job upgrades, go through the temple of chaos, get up to at least level 70 on each of your characters, make sure you have healaga and spells to multiply your attacks like haste and also have temper or berserk on hand, use them on everyone in the final battle and im pretty sure flare is in ff1 so make sure you get that as well, its been a while since i beat it but this was my strategy, but the flare part, i dont know if i had that because i cant remember if it is in the game

good luck dude, once your like level 70 and have the excalibur and thors hammer for your white mage, chaos will be a piece of cake^^. if you really want to challenge yourself, go through and beat all of the optional dungeons and go and get ultima weapon...
