Fight Quale / Quan?

No Demi cannot actually deliver the finishing blow. It takes off 1/4 of your current HP with each casting of it on your party/character. It's main strategy though is to knock you down with Demi to a low enough HP level, and then use it's other attacks/spells to finish you off from there.

Demi is just like a slow torture at times. The following moves and attacks are the "knock-out" punches.

It depends on your level and current HP. Naturally if you're at half health, it'll probably kill you. Trance Kuja didn't a pretty fine job of putting my Vivi on the line a few times. I refuse to revive any characters through principle. If I'm weak enough to lose one character to a boss, then I'm generally too weak.

Fortunately, I always have a powerful healer with me that does nothing but cast Curaga. Yay for white magic.
