FFX's Antagonist

What do you think of FFX's representative villain in this game?

  • Perfect! Jecht makes the most sense since he was the only villain with a connection to Tidus.

  • It's stupid. Jecht wasn't a villain. Dunno who else could have replaced him though.

  • It's stupid. Seymour makes the most sense.

  • If we count X-2, Shuyin could have worked. Sort've an evil twin thing.

I like Jecht as FFX's villain, not only because Jecht is badass and awesome and *insert more Jecht is awesome ranting* and has a deep connection with Tidus, but also if Seymour was in the game, would you really main him, or just use him as a punching bag

As simple reason as to why Jecht is the evil representative for FFX is this;
Whilst he was High Summoner Braska's guardian, Jecht was turned into an Aeon by Lady Yunalesca, and when High Summoner Braska defeated Yu Yevon, he possessed Jecht and turned him into the new Sin. Plus, Tidus has a personal vendetta against his father, so it ties in quite well.

Mod Edit: I've added spoiler tags, just in case some people didn't know these things.

Well for me Jecht was definatley the right choice for several reasons:

1. Tidus'es rivalry and hatred for his father.
2. The fact that Jecht was Sin
3. The need of a melee character over a caster.
4. Seymour looks similar to the emperor and would probably play similar (possible costume unlock for DLC? )

With the melee character over a caster, if you look at the roster, you will find the playing field between primarly caster and primarly melee is pretty much even, which would have been less so had Seymour been included instead of Jecht.

So yep Jecht is a spot on choice + much love to his theme tune :D

I didn't vote, because I haven't played FFX yet, so I don't know what the story is pretty much about.

Although I will say this: I think they picked Jecht because he's Tidus' father and the story would make much sense around them than around Tidus and Seymour.
