FFXIV Updates?

I haven't heard much of Final Fantasy XIV since that apology letter came out before Christmas.
I'm assuming there's a few people playing it around here. Have any updates/patches been released? Have they made the game more enjoyable?

That was the last news heard about Final Fantasy XIV other than that things have only went downhill.
PS3 version held back till ????
Servers were down for periods of time to fix "technical issues"

Other than that, no news on what the new team is doing on Final Fantasy XIV
