picked up the special edition yesterday morning, and the install went without a hitch, however the game will not run. i know what you must be thinking, computer is out of spec, but its not. is anyone else having this issue? spent the whole day on the phone with tech support just to get an assumed shrug in their shoulders...

Maybe it's your firewall blocking it? But for me I couldnt load the game until after creating a square enix account and adding the game to my account services. One you do that the you go to add options to add a character slot. Then you go back to the game and you can play. I hope this helps.
By the way if you have the collectors edition when you put in your credit card info it doesnt charge you until the 30 day free trial ends

I will tell you this much, the servers are down for maintenance right now. However if you can't even install the game I'm not sure what the problem is. Would help if you were a bit more descriptive than that.
