Ok! When it comes to fighting Adamantortoise and Long Gui, if I want to kill them by battling it out and not using "Death", what accessories and weapons should I use?

If you're talking about those super high level ones that kill you in one hit, you can't kill them now. you have to beat the game and have that last level of crystarium become available to you. After you beat the game, you can resume from your last save point (before the final boss) and continue on to level up your characters some more. Then you can show those mutant turtle walkers who's boss. Good luck

If you were hoping to kill them and get platinum ingots to improve your weaponry before the endgame you are sol.
You'll have to grind on the plains and in other areas to get gold ingots/gold dust and other items to sell to get the trapezehedrons to upgrade your weapons before the game ends.

You can always summon and disable its leg but only for a short period of time........
I'm not sure if its even capable of killing a long gui in that amount of time.......After you unlock the last stage of the crystarium you can easily kill an adamantoise if you summon.....
I'm currently trying to kill a long gui.....havent been able to do so for like months now levelled up all characters and everything. I'd say upgrading your weaponary is your last hope........Careful consideration must be done though to aquire maximum stats.
