Hi all, I am in need of help lol. Thought I would buy myself a game to play, seeing as my son is always playing COD, I wanted to game that I could enjoy. I purchased this one and so far I think I am doing okay :wtf:......I am stuck at Mounds Of Naught and have although I understand some of it, I need to ask for help. I can not seem to work out how to get Lightening and Hope to have the War and Peace Paradigm that the others have. Do I have to go back though the game?. I am a mother of two and Yes maybe too old for this but you are as old as you feel lol :P, have been on it 7 hours over the last day or two and I really enjoy it and want to see what happens to Serah!!!!! Can anyone offer any help please, cheers xx

A cynic would say "You wanna know what happens to serah? go on you tube!"

Luckily Ima nice guy....kinda, you dont know the oles required or you dont know the way to do it in the menu?

The roles you need are COM & MED. simple if you wanna know the way to do it in the menu type it here?

Dont worry about the age thing its nonsense, just ignore it and realize that video games are a legitimate form of entertainment and blow anyone up who doesnt agree with you:lew:

Simple.

okay ibelieve you can make a war and peace paradigm with light and hope if you have them set up as COM/MED as far as making it past the mounds of naught...... i think that your fighting psicom and som minor beasts like wolves frag leeches etc etc... if i were you id find a save point i the area and a group of frag leeches and wolves and fight them over and over to grind CP points to upgrade your characters because the upcoming boss fight (?) could be hard.. [sidenote: sorry if my info is a little off its been awhile since i played the first disc]

ps: i picked wolves and leeches beacuse psicom if i remembered correctly murder hope for me  along with behemoths... hope this helps

Cheers Nice Guy.....Have been doing some reading on here and I think I may have chosen a REALLY difficult game for a newbie (37 year old lol) to the gaming world !!!!!. I did not even know what all the crystal (thingys) were so just kept increasing them when I had enough lol. Me thinks I need to STOP and try and figure it all out on another player on my xbox, that way I can save what I have so far (which seems minimal I think) and have a play around with the paradigms. Am stuck with Lightening and Hope and oh well have a play around and try to work out how to change him to Medic on the Paradigms thingy.......lol... Should have just stuck to playing bejeweled lol, Cheers xxx

Oh your on the Xbox?ewww:lew:

No its a very hard game for a newbie:hmmm: its fast and there wholesale changes in the dynamics from earlier FF games and not all fo the better, i just recently brought this game again after I traded my other one in, its fun the second time around.

A trick is to equip a Doctors Code to the Character you are controlling this limits you dependency to have to change the Paradigm and keeps you on the offensive mopre often=SPAM Potion:lew:

Cheers Gemini........MINOR beasts (OMG) them electrical green long armed spinning things were so hard to defeat and took me ages lol......guess I have bitten off more than I can chew. I will go back through all the saved game points and try to win some more CP’s. Will I be able to re-load Mounds of Naught again ? I knew I should have just gone on with the housework, bet you are giggling now lol xx

What's wrong with the xbox........lol x

yeah! What's wrong with the xbox? :spam2: I play my FFXIII on xbox too. High five lol

Anyways, in my opinion, this game is easier (and more fun) than those shooter games like CoD. Although I am not in the position to say this, if you like the story in XIII, you may want to try the older titles.

Double post Double post Double post Double post :spam2:

I wont to blow it up:amg: Nothing wrong woth the Xbox I have one myself it makes an excellent doors top, Its just tha graphical quality is not as good as the PS3 its just a personal preference but If I recall its your sons?

So am I right in thinking I should start all over again and try to gain as much CP's as possible, the ironing can wait lol. At least that way I will have some idea of what I'm doing second time round lol xx

Ha....GalaxyFlare, I bought myself one after Christmas due to getting fed up watching him on it all over Christmas. Thus buying a game of my own, seen COD and its scary lol xx

I don't get what you mean by 'I will go back through all the saved game points and try to win some more CP’s. Will I be able to re-load Mounds of Naught again ?'

I hope I am answering correctly :P : no you can't do 'time travelling' in FF games. What you do in one file will not affect anything in the other. Best is you just continue with your latest save file. You can however, backtrack the path to a certain extent and fight the old monsters.

Honestly, in this game, from chapter 1-10, as long as you fight every single monster spot, there is no need to re-fight to get more CPs as the monster amounts are designed for you to fill the crystarium level for each chapter completely.

So maybe there's something wrong with your battle strategy. Perhaps you should switch paradigms more frequently when the situation changes. Don't forget to equip better weapons and accessories too.

good luck :)

if you need to start again and feel you can gain more Cp then you will benefit form it or you can just move on and progress to areas where CP farming is productive, there will come a point where you will have more Cp you then you need:lew:

This is Irony:sad3:

Right, I thnk I get it, I am clueless, you all mention changing paradigms.....guess you can do this when pressing Y, but how I have no idea. I need to do some reading and try and work these out. I Bet you all wished you have just read this and not bothered answering lol, I thnk it might be best to wipe it all and start again, Cheers xxx

In battle, you can select paradigm by pressing LB. For example, someone is hit badly. Press LB and select war and peace so that the roles will change. The character with the medic role will heal instead of attacking. When Hp restored to normal, press LB again and choose the other paradigm and continue attacking.

HI Cid XIII-2.

Thats the problem at Mounds Lightning and Hope do not have it for some reason, not sure why either. I have used it with the others but War and Peace is not there with these two xx

When not in battle, go to the menu (as you know, press Y). Choose paradigm. Select generate. Choose an empty tab and choose 'defensive'. War and peace should be added to the list of paradigms. I hope I am not answering wrongly again

Hi, right have saved game so far to my memory stick and that way all is not lost. Going to start the game again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!. wish me luck lol x

I think you have to master an ability in the role before you can use it?:hmmm:

I not sure though?

Try and master an ability if you have spare CP left for the roles you havent used yet?
or maybe you havent made Paradigm with the roles in it, do it in the menu.

ZZZZZZ
