Help FFXIII: Mission Tracking

Hello,

I am playing Final Fantasy XIII (obviously), and am having trouble finding where to go for quests that I pick up from C'ieth stones. I get one, and then I do not see the (*) symbol on my map. I will find it eventually by constantly running around and opening the map, and eventually I get close enough where I see it, but if it's far away I cannot locate it (seems the star does not appear on map til you are in a certain range of it). Is there an easier way to track quests, or some trick to it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here Its a link to the missions for the stones and where to find them....Google..next best thing to buying your own guide... I have no idea how good it is or not....
Actually I just picked up quests as they became available...memorization a key tool in life and normaly the Cie'th stone roghly would tell you where to find your target...well for me it wasnt to difficult...
