Help FFXIII: im in chapter 13 and i think im underpowered... and im stuck

my party is lightning hope fang. they've each gone as far as they can go in one role, but thats it. and i cant beat the mini boss wladislaus, he keeps taking out one of my party members in two hits. how can i get stronger?? going back is not an option. i also ran past a ton of enemies from the last two parts of chapter 12 all the way to where i am now, so that might explain why im so weak

Wladislaus is actually pretty easy. I would say go in with a sentinel and a synergist/saboteur. Once You give it enough debuffs and such switch to one sentinel and two other ravagers. Or if you really want to make it easy purchase an Aegisol and Fortisol and start the battle with those. Med/Sen/Syn, Rav/Rav/Med and Med/sen/med Are good paradigms to use. Just debuff it with a SAB if you want to make it much more easy. Remember sentinel halves physical damage. Also if you still can not beat it. Try grinding a bit.

Buff the crap out of your people with Hope and attack attack attack until you need to heal. Use a healing paradigm that has at least one person attacking. You'll probably never stagger him, but you can beat him down.
