A nice review of the FFXIII Demo I found on Youtube.
I have learned a few new things from it and I believe it is worth watching.
There are no really much things revealed about the plot, so there are no many spoilers there (the demo itself doesn't really have much of them anyway).

Hope you find it useful :)

There were two things I found interesting.

1) That it is possible to either make one attack at a time, or to wait a while until the bar chargers and to do a combo. I have suspected it is possible when I saw the trailers, and I glad I was right.
I think it is nice, but I still wonder how far will they take these "comboes".
Whatever the comboes will always be short and simple, or will they will become more complicated as the player progress in the game.
It doesn't seems like there is a special order to some moves (maybe there is and I simply missed that part), but I hope there is.
For example an attack called "Air Slash" which you can use only after you use "Throw" (or whatever it is called, the attack which throws the enemy into air).
Hope there are things like that in the game :)

2) There is no need to press any button to talk to NPCs. It is significantly different from other FFs. It means that every NPCs will be dubbed, which as well means that it'll take more time to translate it.
In the demo it seems as there is no text at all when the NPC speaks.
I hope that the player will have to option to choose whatever the text will apear or not.

It's very informative. Thank you very much for posting it. I agree with the reviewers about the design and the characters looking like something we've seen before in previous games. Seeing the battle system in action and getting it described at the same time was a bit of an eye-opener and a positive one at that. It seems pretty old school, yet with some new elements as well. I think that will please a lot of those who didn't like the system of FF XII and at the same time please those who thought that XII was a refreshing change.

I think it's actually a pretty bad idea to watch reviews. Because it'll influence how you like the game. If you go in with an open mind, you'll find a lot more things you like than, if you were to just base all of your opinions off of a review written by someone.

I think FFXIII is going to be a great game, and I don't really care what reviewers say of the demo. The demo also is also extremely limited, so there's no point in reviewing it.

It is not really have much opinion in it. They don't really say things like "this is good" or "this is bad". It just explains different things about the game so, like: the battle system, talking to NPC, actions and the like.
The reviewers actually always say that it is hard to know how most things will look like in the real game (because the demo is very limited), so they don't know how it will affect the game itself.

It is rather some kind of a information video than a regular review.
I agree that watching reviews in which the reviewers have a solid opinion is not a good idea, as they can easily show every part in the game according to their opinion (showing only the good parts or only the bad ones).

Thanks for posting. Very much appreciated. I have to say, though, that this review isn't really enough to change my opinion. Besides, it's the reviewer's point of view, not mine. I can't even say if the game is good or bad yet! Of course, it did leave a lot for me to think about, so thanks again for posting it on here.
