[FFXII] Good way to beat gil snapper

Well this is my first play through so I'm not very good at the game - pardon my noobishness.

Basically I was having some trouble with beating gil snapper and after reading guides, still couldn't find a strategy that worked for me.

Well today I accidentally found a strategy that I've never read about, so I thought I'd post it.

Somehow I managed to trick Bansat into tanking the turtle for me. After that I switched out vaan and basch for fran and balthier (2 characters I never use but have range).

Ashe is level 27 but fran is 16 and balthier is only 9. I think this strategy is executable when all characters are only 16 or below.

I saw this strategy in a NLBLLG challenge on YouTube. As long as your party leader doesn't target anyone and isn't targeted by anyone, Larsa will keep using Hi-Potions on Bansat while Bansat and your ranged characters will whack G.S., and you don't even need to touch your controller! Epic

Sorry, I guess it wasn't as original as I had thought.

I wonder how low you can kill the snapper at with this strat. It can be done pre-Larsa (obviously Larsa is dead in my screenshots; I killed him for being annoying).

At lower levels, it might be harder to keep up the healing for bansat I suppose. Balthier's silent shot helps a lot since gil snapper must use Purify everytime you silence him which gives you time to catch up on healing, and I wasn't using Balthier most of the time (I had forgotten he existed :S).

I was actually planning to kite with fran, but accidentally fell into this. She is silenced because she has nethicite equipped for blizzara.

Well, NLBLLG stands for No License Board Low Level Game.... that's level 1, 2, 2, 3, 3 and 3, and no license board at all
I'm planning on using this strat on my normal low level game, it's going to be a bit easy though because I have a Fomalhaut and Wyrmfire Shot (GS is weak to fire, right?).

It's actually weak to lightning and takes half damage to fire according to my guide.

That's pretty crazy if you do no license board and low level. what are you supposed to do, mote everything? Nevermind, don't explain it

the pest tip is wait till you r level 30 an have thundager and have/or a storm spear and keep on hitting it with either both or one of them

if it worked for me it should work for you
