[FFXII]Going for 100%

HI everyone, this is my first ever post here, so hi!

I was just wondering what people would advise for someone going for 100% (or near enough) completion in terms of characters?

Should I just concentrate on levelling 3 of them up through the game, with (one being a tank, and two magic users, one to attack and one to buff or remove buffs)? Or should I level everyone else up too?

Would appreciate your thoughts

Well what would you classify as 100%? If you are talking character wise, you should level them all... but if your talking story wise, you might just wanna experiment around and see who does the most damage and use them.

Just stay with 3 people and level them. On VERY rare occasions you will find your 3 persons dead/stopped/stoned/disabled/etc. and you will have to switch out someone for a reserve and then use a PD/Cronos Tear/Gold Needle/Remedy/etc.
And don't define roles 'cept in early game.
And do Dustia and you won't ever need to level your reserves.

When I say complete the game 100% I mean more story line type stuff like getting all the espers and killing all the marks, which I didn't even get close to in my first run through!

Shinryu - should I just make sure my 3 chosen people can do everything (spell casting, ass-whupping etc.)?

Which three would people recommend I use because I thought that they each had individual base stats that would make them better at one thing or another.

Lol if you equip the right gambits to everyone except the character that you always use, then you shouldn't hafta worry about much... like the party i use is Vaan, Basch, and Ashe. and i kick major ass with them.

Just do Dustia until 35-ish level, steal 3 x Gladius from Lindbur Wolf @ westersand, and once you get to Jahara you'll be able to get Deathbringers and whoop everyone's ass (and Zodiac Spear too, just don't open those restricted chests!)

I hate the Zodiac Spear, i was doing so good and didn't open any chests, but i forgot and opened a chest >.>, i was pissed. What do you mean by Dustia?

Once I've chosen my 3 characters I'm going to level them up, but in the usual way, as I don't want to use an exploit or anything. I know that'll take longer, but that's fine by me

Yeah, you can do the old style way, but you will really really REALLY regret it once you get to Tiamat >_> <_< and Elder Wyrm. Trust me. Took me ~15 tries to beat them.

Is Tiamat the one you fight once you've found Mjrn? I managed to beat him first time on my original play through and my guys weren't anything special! (Or is Tiamat someone else??)
