[FFXII] Excalibur

Alright, I've been trying to get the excalibur for roughly two hours(it's now 6: 19, started at 4: 30). I know EXACTLY where it is, I see the treasure, I get it, no excalibur, I have diamond armlet equipped to Ash & everything. I zone three places out, go back, get the treasure, STILL NOTHING. And I've been doing this for almost 2 hours. I'm EXTREMELY frustrated, is there a trick to getting it? Do I have to kill a certain number of those horse shit. I have Redda's with me, does anyone know if him being with you will prevent it from spawning(although I HIGHLY DOUBT this)?

I understand it's a rare item, and it should take a few times of zoning back and forth, but I've been doing it for almost two freakin hours.
 
I have a chain of 11 shadnir going right now, and I've seen a video of a guy on yt who gets it first try with a chain of 9, and only kills the one Shadnir by the chest.

You don't need to chain or kill anything to obtain this sword. Just activate the gem and you'll receive some treasure...
At any rate, the rates of obtaining the Excalibur are 5% with a Diamond Armlet equipped.

Whilst you're down there, you could pick up the Danjuro. (fastest......and hardest weapon to obtain the game) I place alot of emphasis on the word could; you were frustrated by obtaining the Excalibur, and the Danjuro is even more difficult to acquire. You must acheive a chain of 255 kills, then enter a certain area for a Rare Game to appear. This rare game has a 5% chance of dropping the Danjuro. If he doesn't, you'll have to chain another 255 enemies....
Rather...tedious wouldn't you say?
 
wow i watched the same video as you to get it!! ^_^!!!

well anyway i was up to the bahamut wich is the last area in the game and i got it u having raddeas might b why cause u aint far enough so play on with the story line for longer then try and get it i got the sword on my 2nd try folloing that video guide ^_^
