Ok then out of boredom I started a new FFXII game and decided to give myself a challange and a tough one at that. I noticed that enemies have rare drops of almost every equipment and weapon in the game so I gave myself this challange.

No buying weapons or Armour from stores. And I still thought it wasn't good enough so I added accesories as well so I started and found it a challange as any would think so now I set the challange.

Can you finish the game using this methord.

Rules:
No buying weapons from stores.
No buying Armour from stores.
No Buying accesories from stores.
Bazzar goods are aloud.

I in arcadia in my game and it was mightly differcult to get there so any one else interested in joining my challange. I will also provide advise and if anyone has any questions shoot.
 
hmm im actually going to try this, Just started a new game and just entered the palace in Rab and havent bought anything but eyedrops, antidotes and pd`s. I will post later to let ya know my progress =)
 
I'm at Tomb of Raithwall and I have 6 burning bows and 3 Kotetsus. I'll update more later.
 
That's an easy challenge; I didn't start buying equipment until I reached the Moogles before Judge Ghis battle, since I acquired my Kotetsus from Werewolves. I prefer No license board challenges tbh. :/
 
Burning Bows were easier to get because at the time I only had Immobilize and Break.
 
Ok this is catching on.

Also I have a tip for making lots of money or if your still earily in the cahllange this helps. Once you get the gilmore for beast and avions (The hunters Gilmore I think) you can get blood swords from the seekers (White winged bats) in the lushu mines. You can steal them also if you have a pair of thieves cuffs but I find they drop them more than you can steal them. After one trip through I had 7 blood swords and 8 on my second trip making me a hefty profit.

Also I'm now on my way to the city of glomore or whatever its called so I now have a fair idea on what enemies drop what.

I already done a no license board challange and found it wasn't to differcult it just took ages.
 
lol, how the hell do you do a no license board game? thats like where all your stats and magics/gear comes from.

So its basically just a streaker challenge but harder since you cant even use spells?


o i am now on my way to raithwalls tomb with alot of crappy gear lol, the first judge seemed harder than normal, but I think its cause i am level 10 and hes 14.

You can actually equip some better gear on a NLB challange with only one party member, because you need Belias to open the Gigas Gate, so obviously need to acquire him on the LB.

No exactly a great help but it's something lol.
 
You can get the gear from the next store update (The stores get better stuff) in there tome of raithwell if you are lucky. Also for NLB challanges you don't need belies's license board slto active in order to get past that part since its just a storyline and you don't actually summon him.

Ok I'm on my way to the pharos lighthouse place and have some sweet gear. This challange is differcult if you are unlucky other wise its just a fun way to do the game.

I have almost a million gill right now so I say boya to not buying weapons, armour and accesories. It gets you more money.

You do need to summon him, otherwise every time you examine the door it just comes up with a "clue" of how to get through. Then you summon him manually, examine the gate again and then it opens.

But I was wrong about the equipment, I thought Belias was in the weapons section, but he's not lol.
 
Indeed, and the secret to a NLB game is Scathe/Dark/Holy motes. It takes alot of time and patience to gather a respectable amount in order to defeat the next boss, hen gather them again. You must also power level by doing the 'Dustia' trick, unless of course, you're doing a NLBLLG challenge. That stands for No License Board, Low Level Game. As you can tell, this is an even harder one; one being I haven't done, and not wanting to. You'll rely on Reflect motes in order to provoke the enemy to cast dispel on you. This wastes their turns in order for your other party members to attack. As for weapons, you can use the Treaty Blade since it doesn't require the License board to activate it.
 
Sorry about the not needing to summon Belis mistake its just my mate who did that manage to get past that bit without summoning because of a fault in his disk.(It's quiet scarred)

I'm partway up the pharos and all I can say is the enemies here drop some pretty sweet gear. I now have six count six dragon whiskers since the wyrms part way up drop them as one of the extra rare drops.

I haven't tried a NLBLLG, I think I might try it once I've finished this one.
