Help FFXII-2: Atlas FF XIII-2 (10% health) trouble! HELP!!

I picked up FF XIII-2 and I'm just vetting to atlas and I am having so much trouble with this boss! Its so frustrating its not even funny! Any tips or advice?

I'm using cat sith in my party and the diversity paradigm as my main. Which uses ravager, commando and sith. Every time I am about to sustain damage, I switch to consolidation. Which uses two sentinels and sith. If I am super low on health I use a potion. More potions maybe? The part that always gets me is when he double strikes and leaves me no time to heal in between blows.

Are you REALLY TRYING to beat him on the first encounter?! With those levels?! What are you insane?! It takes ages to beat him. I should say even impossible even if you grind because you get shite cp.

Did you even try and use google? I am sorry but lol.

To beat him you need to go activate the machine inside Bresha Ruins so it weakens him. You will be transported to the temporal rift. Do that and he will be weakened. Go fight him and he should be an easy piece of cake after that.

You can get revenge on him after the main story once you have the paradox scope and fight the real Atlas.

If you weakened him you should have no problems. Unless you are really going out of the sentinel role far too often then there is a problem. Excuse me if you actually did weaken him though. I mean he is only extremely hard if you don't bother with the machine.

Well what I can suggest is simply to grind more, and perhaps find better monster allies. When he is not attacking you too badly, build up the stagger chain through the COM RAV RAV/RAV RAV RAV paradigms. The key is to stagger him as fast as possible. Good luck!

I did not even need to grind once before fighting him? If you say he is at low health... then he should be very very easy. Just throwing that out there.

One of the walk throughs I was reading suggested the com rav rav rav paradigms to cause a stagger. I almost made it to the 200% mark but then the problem I run into is he hits me twice in a row and leaves me no time to heal and i die. I guess I have to stagger him faster! IMO FFX wasn't even this hard!

I was actually using com rav for offensive attacks and sent sent sith for defensive. The funny thing is that I haven't even been able to stagger atlas even once "yet". I'll keep trying. Thanks Cid!

You need a Sentinel as well, the Sentinel monster will take the damage from Atlas while you grind with a Rav - Com (Delta Attack), or a Rav - Rav (Mystic Tower) using a SEN monster will make the fight very quick.

Use tri disaster (Rav Rav Rav) Start the battle with 3 commandos (Cerberus) To heal use Med Med Med (Salvation)

The battle should be really cake if you have those. Go Cerberus first and get the chain gauge high, and then Tri disaster to stagger him. He should fall in no time after the quick time events.

Once you stagger him, it's a confirmed win, because he cannot attack while staggered. Like others said, switch to RAV RAV RAV for faster stagger chain.
