Because Mitsuki asked.
Not that it's any good anyway. Far too rushed in my opinion. It was originally for Survivor Challenge 1.

Final Fantasy X Review for the PS2
Introduction/General Comments:
The tenth instalment of the Square’s Final Fantasy Series is by far one of the best to date. It is Square’s first role-playing game for the PS2 and offers Final Fantasy enthusiasts a whole new level of the ‘Final Fantasy experience’.
It is the only Final Fantasy game to have a sequel, ‘Final Fantasy X-2’, which is something that has never been done before. It was released in 2001 and still remains high in regard among fellow gamers as it was also the first Final Fantasy to feature voice actors. Something that I think most people appreciated.

Final Fantasy X is set in the world of Spira and begins at the end of the game in which Tidus and his fellow guardians and summoner Yuna are waiting outside the ruined city of Zanarkand. From this point onwards he tells you his story from the start up until the end in which one of them will have to leave forever.
The main character of the game is Tidus. He lives in modern day Zanarkand and is the star player of the under-water sport Blitzball. His team being the Zanarkand Abes. One day however he is thrown into a different world due to a creature named ‘Sin’ after it attacks his city.
Soon after Tidus arrives in Spira he is saved by a group of Al Bheds, a race that is looked down upon in Spira’s society. A girl named Rikku who is among the Al Bhed’s explains to Tidus (after he tells her where he is from) that Zanarkand was destroyed a thousand years ago and that there is nothing left but ruins now.
Soon after, the Al Bhed’s ship is attacked again and Tidus is separated and taken to the small island of Besaid where he meets Wakka, the team captain of the Besaid Aurochs.
Wakka soon introduces Tidus to his fellow guardians and then to the summoner that they are all protecting, ‘Yuna’. Summoner Yuna is the daughter of High Summoner ‘Lord Braska’ the last summoner to defeat Sin 10 years ago and brought ‘The Calm’ to the city.
However if a summoner does not complete their pilgrimage every ten years and use the final Aeon to defeat Sin, then there will never be any peace. We are now introduced to the rest of Yuna’s guardians who are, ‘Lulu’ and ‘Kimahri’. Together they travel with Yuna while she gathers aeons from various temples in order to defend themselves from fiends and more attacks from Sin.
Further along, the party meet Auron. Auron had travelled with Yuna’s father Lord Braska as his guardian ten years ago. It is soon discovered that Tidus’s father Jecht (who was also a blitzball star) was also a fellow guardian of Braska’s.
A little while later the group run into Rikku who is revealed as Yuna’s cousin and it is then found out that Yuna is half Al-Bhed as her mother is Rikku’s father’s sister.
Soon the party arrive at Guadosalam where Maester Seymour awaits. He is half Guado half human and also very powerful. It is here that Seymour proposes to Yuna and Yuna being the good-natured woman that she is, agrees to marriage as she claims it will help Spira.
The party engages in battle with Seymour at the wedding and rescue Yuna. They escape with her to Mt Gagazet.
Finally they meet their destination in which Yuna is almost ready to sacrifice herself in order to perform the Final Summoning. However, they instead defeat Yunalesca, the daughter of Yu Yevon who is Sin itself. They realise that no one needs to be sacrificed and that they will go into the belly of Sin and defeat it once and for all.
At the very end of the game, after the final credits, a scene of Tidus is shown as he swims towards the screen underwater with a smile on his face. The screen then dissolves into white and that is the first hint for gamers that this may not be the end of Tidus’s story at all.
It is all explained in the sequel ‘Final Fantasy X-2’.

Characters
Tidus: Tidus is the main character of Final Fantasy X. He is the star player of the Zanarkand Abes and came from the Dream Zanarkand. He is thrown into the real world of Spira after Sin’s attack one day and shortly after is given the task of protecting Summoner Yuna as her guardian. A love between Yuna and Tidus is soon revealed later on in the game.
Yuna: Yuna is a caring, reserved and self-sacrificing summoner who always puts others needs before her own. She falls for Tidus throughoutthe game and tells him that she loves him at the end before he fades away.
Auron:: Auron joins Yuna on her journey as her guardian as he did ten years ago for her father Lord Braska. He is a very reserved person and has a dark secret to share.
Jecht: Jecht is Tidus’s famous blitzball star father. He was also a guardian of Lord Braska ten years ago.
Wakka: Wakka is the team captain of the Besaid Aurochs. He always seems to be in a good mood and mentions that Tidus looks a lot like his deceased brother Chappu.
Lulu: Lulu is the edgy guardian who cares for Yuna dearly as a sister but finds it hard to show her emotions. She was once in a relationship with Chappu who happens to be Wakka’s younger brother. Chappu died a few years ago.
Rikku: Rikku is the hyper little Al Bhed who also happens to be Yuna’s cousin. We meet Rikku at the start before any of the other characters. She saves Tidus from a Water Fiend.
Kimahri: Kimahri is a Ronso from Mt Gagazet who had looked after Yuna from a young age. He too is a guardian for Yuna and he may not say much but he is very loyal.
Seymour: Seymour is one of the main villains of the game. You have more than one battle with this guy and he is really quite annoying. You’ll be so happy when he finally dies.

Gameplay
The gameplay is decent. It features many mini games and side-quests that keep you busy along the way. The turn-based battle system is quite annoying at times but isn’t the worst experience in the world.
Like most games in the Final Fantasy series Final Fantasy X allows you to navigate the character in third-person perspective.
The sphere grid has been introduced to X as well allowing players to fully customise characters to their liking.
9/10
Controls
Control play during the game is smooth throughout, save for when trying to swim underwater. It just feels ridiculously slow then.
8/10
Graphics
The graphics for Final Fantasy X were the first most improved graphics over the final fantasy series. The game scenes were just as impressive as the actual full-motion cut scenes.
The quality of the FMV’s were greatly appreciated among fans. At times it felt as though we were watching a movie instead of playing a game due to the length. However it did get the game player more attached to the characters and feel as though they were in the game themselves.
10/10
Sound
Final Fantasy X is the first Final Fantasy to feature voice acting. Majority of the voices are really quite annoying but it was Square’s first go at it so you have to give them some credit. The music was brilliant. I loved every bit of it so much that I had to get the soundtrack for it.
10/10
Replay value
I would give the replay value a 10/10 only because this is the only game I have ever played more than once. To me Final Fantasy X is an enjoyable experience and is definitely a very unique game.
