FFVIII too easy?

for the amount of time i played this game wich was about up to 20-25 hours of gameplay it was easy and quite boring so i never played it again.

well what was actaully the hard part of the game, I didnt really see anything hard..maybe getting Doomtrain, but thats more annoying than hard really

I found it challengeing not all that easy but not all that hard. I use alot of stratigy when I was in a big battle, but none the less I wouldn't call it easy

well niether would i but at times for me the game was hard like for a big boss battle it was hard trying to find a good strategy to use in the battle that and the pain in the neck side quests yes thats what made the game a little more exciting but it was kinda challenging and a pain at times. but thats all i'm saying its my opinion

well, its not that easy guys.
of course it will be easy if u cheat.

I didn't cheat and I found the final battle extremely easy. I am fantastic at using boost - I can get every single GF (with the boost ability) to 255 in one turn, my hand gets sore though :P

Seriously, I found it easy. I combined the strategy of Aura+Renzokuken(Lionheart weapon) + Zell Limit Break + Irvine AP Ammo ... when I ran out of Aura's I used Eden, Bahamut and Doomtrain.

On the final battle, I drew Apocalypse from Ultimecia's final form and used it against her ... extremely easy.

Final Fantasy 8 may be my favorite Final Fantasy though a lot of people criticize it or say "oh it's not really a final fantasy." Some even complain about the story, but why? I find it from ff 7-X-2 that ff8 has the most depth in it's characters and story. It's not perfect, but it comes close to it. It was pretty easy for me once I learned how the junction system worked. But that's what makes the final fantasy games so great. The battle systems usually follow a similar formula, but they change the way you can build up your characters. Eight's was different as was seven's and nine's and so on. Junctioning was a pretty cool idea, though I admit at first I wasn't fond of it, but it grows on you. Change is good. And though it was pretty easy, the final boss still takes a bit to defeat b/c of all the stages you have to fight it in. FF8 rules!

I think FFVIII had its "easy" times, for example the games monsters didnt get that hard until very late in the game so most of the game was really easy. A big part that made the game easy was that you only had to gain 1000EXP to reach a higher level every time, it made levelling up go so fast.

But then again, FFVIII had its hard times aswell, the castle at the end had some tough bosses to get through.

The easy way around losing magic for junctioning is either:

a) Not using magic
b) Use different magic to cast/junction (eg, if 100 Blizzaga's junctioned, don't use Blizzaga!)

I never thought of FFVIII being an easy game at all. The Junction systems were pretty confusing, and plus, you could only junction certain magic to certain junctions, etc. Come to think of it, I never really used Magic unless it was Cure or Life. Death had been a big help too. Other than that, FFVIII was not very easy. I still have yet to beat the game.
