FFVII - Please help, desperate.

I am at the part of the game where you need the keystone. When i go to gold saucer and go into dio's show room i goover to the keystone in the middle of the room. When i press to activate dio's enterence nothing happens. What is going on!?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
You may have skipped a part. You need to go talk to the weapon seller you gave the mythril to.
 
yeah i tried that. i even went to bone village and spoke to someone about 'a man in a black cloak' and about the keystone and temple. I really want this to work i trained up everyone to level 50.
 
On disc one? That'll make the rest of the game too easy. May just be glitched. Try cleaning off the disc and then doing it.
