A group for the good people on this forum that enjoyed FFVII, appreciated it as an exemplary game, but are irritated by the flow of absolute whoring of it.
Final Fantasy VII was a turning point in Final Fantasy and perhaps RPG's as a whole, but the continual whoring have taken almost all level of interpretation away from the game.

THIS IS NOT A FINAL FANTASY VII HATE GROUP

I wouldn't abhor perhaps two games as an extension to the original, but they have indeed gone somewhat... overboard. Most have great concepts, but really do lack the quality they should've had.

Alas, it leads to such aversion of them. So far the only necessary game relating to VII that should be released is Crisis Core; explaining the story of a character who played a key role in the main story.

..... yeah, I'm in. ;p

I'm in as well. As much as I love FFVII...really...Square ENIX is ripping the original plot apart. Seriously....adding Gackt...I ment Genesis to the plot of the game? ;/ It seems the only original staff member from FFVII that is worked on Crisis core is Yoshinori Kitase.

Exactly, AC and DoC were pretty horrid, and left little left to the imagination as to what happens after the story of FFVII.
I dunno, AC was a nice testament to Sephiroth and Jenova's power and influence over the life of the planet, so in that respect I'd say that was also worth having. Though the infatuation for it is ridiculous, I still enjoyed watching it. It was quite well put together, but I feel the developers should've emphasized the elements of Kadaj, Loz, and Yazoo more than they did (what they individually represented etc).

I'm still undecided as to whether the making of it was solely for monetary purposes, but it was still a nice inclusion; to finally visualize what Sephiroth can do without some mad Bizarro form.

I do agree but its followers encourage it something rotten!

I find the whole idea incestuous. And you just know they will keep piling up. I enjoy square games very much, but i don't think i could ever actually play FF7 all the way through again and have the same enjoyment. So the more things that keep popping up the more boring it gets.
