Yes it can work on those windows if you download the correct patch so the game does work. As for your screen flashing, I don't really know. I know my monitor is too high res to allow me to be able to play FFVII on my PC. Did you download the game or do you own the actual disks? Maybe the download was faulty or maybe something is wrong with your disk and didn't actually install properly. I'm not sure. We own a copy of the FFVII PC game. I can ask my husband if he knows what the problem could be.

i downloaded a patch called FFVIIXP and it made the game work but when I go to the reactor and set the bomb and then defeat that huge monster guy, my computer says it has encounted an error and has to close. I got so pissed off! cause I just killed that really hard monster and it does that!!!!! Oh and I did download the game off the internet and it was 842.6MB so.....................mabye it is incomplete.

My best recommendation for you is to buy the game (or borrow) for your PS1/PS2, or the computer instead of downloading it. That should fix a lot of your problems...

If you read my thread about the FF7 PC game, we discuss all the problems concerning it, and how to fix it. In your case, this can be solved by a few simple clicks of your mouse.

First off, its normal for your screen to flash when clicking on FF7config.exe, but it shouldnt stay flashing or anything, it should go straight to the config window.

Most roblems are fixed by right clicking on your FF7.exe (the one you use to play the game) and selecting compatability mode for windows 95, everything should work normal after that.

The reasont here is so many bugs for the PC version is because when they ported it over to PC from PS, they did a really shit job, like they didnt even care, they didnt even bother to change the resolution of the game for PC monitors.
