I've seen plenty of guides describing an Omega strat, the usual "Levels 50-60" and "buy everyone a fire ring" and stuff, but I beat omega at level 38 with no fire rings... its really pretty simple.

1. Get the chicken knife and fully upgrade it by running from a ton of battles. (better than Ragnarok at its max power of 127)
2. Learn !Sshot (4x attack) with a character, and put the chicken knife on him/her.
3. Chicken knife character should be a Sorcerer (Mystic Knight).
4. Have a chemist learn !Mix.
5. Put Winged Shoes on at least your sorcerer, if not your entire party.

then in battle...

1. Put Bolt3 on your Sorcerer's sword (Thundaga?)
2. Have a chemist mix a dragon fang and a tonic or potion, and put it on your Sorcerer. This increases his level by 20.
3. (Optional) Have a white mage cast buffs, or a summoner summon Carbuncle, or a blue mage cast guardian (Mighty guard)
4. Sorcerer uses !Sshot for 9999 x 4 dmg. Just hope Omega's 4 counter attacks leave your Sorcerer intact. You may have to try a few times to get this result.
5. On your second !Sshot, Omega is dead.

Hope this helps you, if you wanna beat Omega at a really low level. You could probably be even less than level 38 before you beat Omega, although you probably are at LEAST 38 before you make it this far in the N-zone.

The mixing a dragon fang and potion came in handy for me. Thanks for the tip. :lew:

I had already gotten the brave blade so the rest of the strategy wouldn't work for me. I was able to beat him though with Krile as a sorcerer and using sshot (she was my only character that had it). I had Reina using time magic and white magic. I had her cast haste2 and then support with white magic. Faris had the sing and mix abilities. I had her mix the potion + dragon fang twice and give it to Krile and then after I had her cast love song. I had Bartz just using white magic (cure 3 mainly). With Bolt 3 sword, Krile did between 5000 and 5600 with each hit. He went down pretty quickly.

I think the main issue with this battle is that his attacks are pretty unpredictable and he's quick. The encircle thing is also a pain in the ass if he decides to use it on your chief attacker. >.>
