hi i'm just a newbie,,, i really wonder how ff1 game story goes, coz i really didn't have the chance to taste a little glimpse of this game,, please share me some insights of the story please!!tnx

Well the story is one of the simplest ever!!
I really dont want to ruin the story for you but you could always get a ROM and play it on an emulator!
It's the type of "You gotta save the world" storylines.

ow, ok i see,, hey thanxs for sharing some ideas baout ff1, but i dont think i'll be able to play ff1 anymore,, so thnx again! gudluck on playing whatever you're playing:D

Even though it had the most simple of stories, I found it very enjoyable, especially the end! If your a fan of the series, then yeah, it's a must play.

To OP, I'm playing it again right now (PSX version) - before a week or so ago, I hadn't played it in 10+ years. It's still, in my opinion, one of the best video games ever made. Sure, it's simple, the graphics are nothing compared to today's games, but there's a wide variety of ways to play the game. Allowing you to select your party gives the game tremendous replay value.

I doubt you'll find the game in stores (released in 2003), but you can order it cheap online. Go for it!

Well, if you want a funny version, go to Nuklear Power - Home of 8-bit Theater.

8 Bit Theatre more or less follows the storyline, with some hilarious drop ins.

PS: SquareEnix re-released FF1 and FF2 to the PlayStation, as well as for the GBA: note, however, that the GBA version has extra content.
Of course, with a single part of the storyline taking up about 100+ pages.

Liked the Black Mage+White Mage though.

the gba its better cuz you have thing that you dont have in the snes
And what "thing" might that be?

Dude, don't just make posts like that, specify when you make your statement.
I k33l a bunny when people post like that.

I'll rename this thread.

*renames thread*

Considering the fact that my NES no longer works and hasn't for a long time, I'd have to go with the GBA version simply because I can at least still play the game on it.

I have the roms for the NES and GBA versions, and after playing the GBA version the NES version became completely unplayable for me, so it's much better on GBA imo.

you magically apeer at the bottom of a Town.
Save the world.

The best version, at least in my opinion, is the PSP version. It has both the gameplay and additional content of the GBA version and the soundtrack of the Origins version, plus high-resolution graphics, and it is portable. I do not like chip music. The original version has outdated gameplay that is inconsistent with the modern Final Fantasy games, and has poor English translation. The PSP version is the only version of the game I have played in legal form. I played the previous versions through emulation.
