Experience is specific to the use of RPG Inferno. I do believe that it used to function the same way that you're suggesting, though, but with gil instead of experience (it may still do so, actually - I just haven't created a character to check that).
You don't get EXP from posting. According to the RPG ACP, you get 50 Gil per thread you make, and 10 Gil for every post you make. Although I fail to see where the suggestion is....firstly you ask EXP gain from posting...then you state that you get EXP from posting because you've been on this forum. :/
I think he meant "this" in the same way that you might say "there was this guy and he egg'd me on my way home from school!" (reference to a pal of mine, hahah 
)
