FF7 Fans Might Hate Me...

FFF Members,

Hello my user name is Hebi Kumo which means Snake Spider. I am 26 years old and own a PSP, NDS, X-Box 360, PS2, Nintendo Wii, and soon I will add a PS3 to my collection. Yes if you haven't guessed it I am a gamer, but not a hard core gamer as I don't play many 1st person shooters and I hate online games (sorry FFXI).

My favorite RPG is not a Final Fantasy game, but has been the debate between FF7 fans and LOD fans alike. Yes it's true, The Legend of Dragoon is my favorite RPG. Now before this turns ugly take note that LOD was the first RPG game I ever played. And before I played it I thought all RPG games where lam. I have heard all the FF bashes as well: LOD sucks, LOD is FF7 ripoff, and so on. I am a nice a guy, but when you start bashing what someone has created and worked hard to do so it truly brings the dark snake with in me out. I am a writer so this means someone wrote the story to LOD and thus you bash the game (or any game) you talking bad about the writer.

On a side note after playing that I played FF8, FF9, FFX, FFX2, FF12, FF3 (DS), FF (PSP), and now FF Dissidia, and thus I began to love playing RPG games. And if anyone else here is in the US than you are no doubt eagerly waiting for FF13 to be released.

Now as I said I consider my self a gamer (just not a hard core gamer) so here is a list of other games (RPG and not) that I play: Lost Odyssey, Rouge Galaxy, Blue Dragon, Dark Cloud 2, GTA4, GTA Episodes From Liberty City, Fable II (waiting for Fable III), Too Human, Prototype, Mortal Kombat (fav. fighting game), Assassins Creed I & II, and many more.

I happen to not only love LoD but play it all the time. And most of the RPG's that you listed I have either owned or currently own. So trust me when I say you are not alone in this site.

I've actually seen very little of the LOD and FFVII fight. The main one I see is FFVII and FFVI. Oh and, welcome.
 
Thank you for the welcome. And perhaps I will mention though I hate online games I have played them before: WoW and Linage II.

Never played LOD, FFVII was my first RPG :wacky:

Also, Im sure us Brits and others are looking forward to FFXIII... though, not me so much, I'm not forking out for a PS3 for one game, so I doubt I'l ever get it, or if I do, it'l be a long way down the line, I'm losinginterest in gaming 8F

I cant hate you for liking an :awesome: game :) I played LOD and I loved it. It was one of the best PS1 rpgs. It and FFVII are like neck in neck to me, with FFVII slightly better in my opinion. As long as your favorite dragoon spirit is the Divine Dragoon spirit, then we can be bestest friends :ryan:

I don't have an XBox either 8F

I'l get the one for the PSP, and maybe one day, invest in a PS3, far off in the future, unless I get a free one if I decide to get another contract phone, though my Wii never gets used, so I could probably say the same about a PS3.... it's totally not worth the 18 month contract I took out ¬¬

I'l just hook up with a rich man :monster:
 
Welcome to the board. My fav RPG isnt a FF game either, so I doubt people will hate you. Have fun, read the rules and ask the mods if you need any help.
 
Hehe, your thread title caught my attention. Anyway, welcome to the forums, and don't worry about liking LOD, I played it and it was fun, and I, gasp, liked it better than FF7, too. I also like Chrono Cross, which is considered evil by CT fans. Anyway, I'm sure no one will be foolish and call you on it.

In case you don't want to read that whole paragraph, I'll just say welcome here again, and that I hope you have fun.
 
I hate people who do that. Its your opinion dude, screw what anyone else says. Love what ever you want man :-) We wont do that here :D

I know this, I don't really care what people say. I mean at work people make their comments about me watching Anime, but I just tell them: "to each their own." And for the simply fact I was not put on this planet to please other people.
