after Orphan's first form?

What was that multihanded creature thing that like... lifted Cocoon up or whatever just before a long minute and a half scene of lava exploding all over the place during the ending?

I also thought that after the first set of credits before the long scrolling ones, they should have included a CGI cutscene or in game rendered scene of Snow and Serah's wedding with all the (remaining) characters attending. Agree?

That was An incomplete form of Ragnarok(Fang) Oh and that at the end is the ful form of Ragnarok. Vanille and Fang became the full form together. Oh and lol I though that too but I guess they wanna save it for FF XIII-2. OH and yes I agree!

I've been thinking (as others have said) that that's an incomplete version of Ragnarok, but it's not powerful enough to hold out long, hence why she goes back to normal quite quickly. (I think it's because her emotions perhaps weren't powerful/angry enough? I've no clue.. )

When Light tells everyone to stay together they all hold hands to, well stay together. But Fang and Vanille are already far away, and they have other intentions, they know what they have to do. I think that's the complete form of Ragnarok, with the addition of Vanille too. Fang and Vanille save Cocoon and turn to crystal inside the core of it, in stasis once again. (I think, at least.)
I don't think they'll be coming back this time either.

I was thinking that myself, but it still ended on a nice note. You never know, it may be incorporated into Versus, Versus could be the X-2 of XIII, but from an entire new party's point of view.

I'm excited for Versus now... After watching a trailer. Maybe Cocoon got more dark and turned into that? Idk. But I'd certainly love to see a wedding scene.

I think the reason Ragnarok was incomplete/failed the first time round was probably because it needed both Fang & Vanille all along...?

The ending has me somewhat baffled, I had to watch that scene after the first form of Orphan twice before it made sense (at least, i think it makes sense )

I'm still not quite sure wtf has gone on, but in my defense it's almost 3.30 in the morning...

So like, they've saved the place, but is it even habitable now? Did they manage to evacuate everyone? Are all the Fal C'ie kaput? I'm guessing there wasn't mass bloodshed because we didn't see no Mr. Maker.. I like the theory in the other thread about him giving the party the new focus...

I think with Ragnarok, although based on the ending I do agree that it eventually needed both Fang and Vanille I think the reason for it failing the first time round is that Fang never fully submitted herself to anger since she eventually failed after attacking Orphan.

I don't think Cocoon is habitable anymore, I'm presuming that when the party defeated Yaag and he gave his orders they must have been successful at evacuating Eden (and the rest of Cocoon?). I'm still basing my theory on that when the party, bar Vanille and Fang were made into Cie'ths their focus changed, so personally, I think that all the Cocoon Fal'Cie were wiped out as the party lose their marks so are no longer l'Cie, therefore no longer controlled by Fal'Cie

Are we assuming their focus' were changed by the maker/a cocoon fal cie then? I can buy all the cocoon fal cies losing their brands - crystals/cieths changing back to human form... but what about the pulse fal cie? ...well, if they even made it off cocoon... or maybe they changed back human whilst ON cocoon in its crystalised form, but if everyones been evacuated..how would they have gotten themselves off

I mean, its not like you would evacuate the population and take the ceiths and crystalised folk qith you, so how the fuck did Dahj and Serah get off? I can only assume that they would have remained crystal til Orphan was destroyed..

I can agree with some people here in regards to what fang turned into and what the creature was at the end. I was like oooooooooook? ha but yes I agree that it required them both to become Ragnarok. I rather enjoyed the ending and to be honest I would of liked to see their wedding but I think they didn't put it in because we can kind of gather it being there at some point in the characters lives. I was just so happy Sazh's son came back because that to me is the happy ending.
