It's hard to be a FF fan these days so I'm looking for some good jrpg fix (or rpg fix in general), preferrably for Xbox 360 or PS3.

So far I've found these games good and I'd recommend them to any FF player, feel free to post your suggestions:

Lost Odyssey
Resonance of Fate
Blue Dragon

-yeah, I haven't played that many games -_-;

For PS3... Well the Atelier series is pretty good.

So what are you looking for from the FF series? the battle system? the Story? might be helpful if we know what exactly you are looking for.

Eternal Sonata is an incredible JRPG, but the battle system is a bit more like the Tales games than FF. Still, it has the cheesiness that FF is known for, along with all the melodrama. Just so you know, the 360 version is easier than the PS3 version...and the PS3 version doesn't have trophies, unlike the 360 version.

Speaking of Tales: Tales of Graces and Xillia are both decent. Not as good as some other Tales games, but still decent. Tales of Vesperia is only available on 360, but if that's your console then it's a great entry in the series.

If you could go back to PS1 days, then you'll find millions of JRPGs (and a lot of them are cheap on the PSN store). Wild Arms, Grandia, Persona...well, there are loads ha.

Hopes this helps a tiny bit? :lew:

I've always found this list of FF like games helpful and it sticks mostly to games that are still available (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 or their online stores) which suits me perfectly (and you based on criteria) although some purists might not like the lack of older FF style games.

You've already listed 3 of my favourites, and MistleToe's covered my other favourites so I'll list the few favourites that I have left!

Magna Carta 2 [Xbox 360] (Definitely a game that is hit or miss with people but I really liked it)
Valkyria Chronicles [PS3] (I really loved the war type setting for this one)
Encharted Arms [Xbox 360/PS3] (just a solid game, nothing special in my opinion but still worth playing).
Ni No Kuni [PS3] (has a Pokemon capture element to it almost)
Anachronox [PC] (an old PC game that borrows alot from games like Final Fantasy but is actually a western based game)
Radiant Historia [DS] (Time Travel elements are great and I just have to include it! but its for the DS so ignore this)

Hey, I remember Anachronox! It was a REALLY long game! But I enjoyed it just as much. Fond memories.
Btw, I inquired at Mistwalker who made Lost Odyssey about whether they want to make a sequel but all they said was to follow their Facebook page. Dunno if they will ever see continuing the saga a viable option in the future. Still, I really want them to make some grand title for big consoles, that is Xbox or Playstation. I hope others feel the same.
