yup i watched the retrospective on Gametrailers ages and ages ago, thats also what they said, i guess it was Hironobu Sakaguchi final fantasy (oh shi- c wut i did thar) since the sting of unsucsessful games he created before FFI they only had enough money to create this before they went bankrups

people should watch the 13part Retrospective on GameTrailers its really good

Yeah, I watched that too. Reason why they named it Final Fantasy is because the producers thought it was the final fantasy game they would ever make. Of course we all know that ain't true.
