I can't describe why, I just liked it the first time I saw it. It's different.

I've loved Tifa's outfit, way before I even knew she was gonna be my favourite character, the first time I saw it, my mom was playing the game. =/ And she met Tifa, and I saw the outfit in the booklet, and on pics.

I love black skirts, white tops, and I always think the punky side with suspenders is cool, so I like the suspenders she has, the boots give it the extra toughness, and the sleeves are just awesome with the gloves. ^^ I love how it looks. All badass.

Vincent has a pretty cool look imo. Normally i don't like whole emo kid look in anime's but he pull's it off ^^
 
For a male character, I really liked Cloud's outfit in Advent Children. Black suited his behaviour in AC perfectly, and it contrasted with his pale skin nicely (better then the purple SOLDIER outfit :wacky: ).

For a female character, I find it's hard to choose a favorite. Yuna's outfit in X is lovely, it has cute but eyecatching details and it's not as crazy as most of Spira's clothing. XD Also Tifa's outfit in AC is better and more convenient then the game's. Because performing a high kick using mini-skirt must not be very comfortable XD
 
I am going to have to say I love both Yuna designs because there just so daMN sexy!!! Also Rosa and Rydia from FFIV Ds were really well done. Rydia looks really hot in ffivds's cgs and so does Rosa. You know I really love the AC designs for Aerith and Tifa there just so hot. Tifa(hot) and Aerith(beautiful). I also Though Princess Ashelia was really well done. But like there are too many Hot girls in Final Fantasy not even one is ugly!!!
 
Thats a tough one, there are so many characters who look amazing, but i think that Auron looks the most amazing, lol.
 
Favorite Character Designs

#1) Vivi
I absolutely love the little guy. He has a simple look, compared to what you see nowadays. But not only that but have you ever seen his design drawn by Amano? It gives Vivi this grungy and classical magical look. Very awesome, pure, and misleading. You would never expect anyone like him to be able to use Doomsday, would you?

#2) Archadian Judges
Really cool. The armor and the fine details in it really make it work. Also, I just love the actual work and info put into the look of these characters.

Other than that, it varies. None really come to mind. But I believe if it really came down to it, third is a tie between almost everyone else. At the end you have the very few who have horrible designs.
 
My favorites would have to be Yuna's summoner costume from FFX, and Rikku's FFX-2 attire.
There's not really all that much to the latter, but it's original and it suits her. I especially like the white ribbon arm-thingers. :3
 
You know, I just thought of this:

What is up with Square and making asymmetrical outfits. So many freaking characters are missing a sleeve, have armor on one side, a longer pant leg, etc. Anyone else notice this? At least one character in every game seems to follow this pattern.
 
I'm guessing that's mainly Nomura's design, he has a tendency to do those sort of designs though other Square Enix designers do it as well...maybe it's just one of those things where they copy each other. :wacky:
 
I dont know why but my favorite character is Blank and i just saw him turn to stone yesterday.. Im playing FF IX for the first time.
 
JaketheSnake: Yeah, I see what you mean. If you take a look at Lost Odyssey(non Square, but still), they do the same thing.

Anyways, my favorite was Squall's. He gave me the idea of wearing two belts criss-crossing. I also liked his jacket. Pants maybe not so much. But yes, Squall's always been my favorite Final Fantasy character..or one of them, anyway. Another outfit I liked was Rinoa's, cause I could totally see myself wearing her coat thing.

Also, Terra's design for Dissidia is pretty awesome. Her outfit reminds me of gypsies cause of all the different materials and colors: http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/finalfantasy/images/e/e9/Terra-dissidia.jpg
 
Male wise i think squall the i like the black coat over the white top and i think the lion heart necklace is wikid

That last Dissida design reminds me of Saix from KH II. o_O;

you know what, Yuna's design from FFX is starting to grow on me. I love the golden flower on her corset. I just don't like the way the corset pushes up her breasts. :gasp:
 
I've always been fond of Kuja's design. Why? Because I found the man thong an interesting addition. :monster:

But really though. I've always found his hair kind of nice. It kind of looks like a feather sticking out of his head.

Rydia's design has to be my favorite. Her outfit looks very se- pretty. <3
 
I think squall, his outfit is kind of original but also great :D his hair is also good, simple not to much like many other characters ^^
 
Fwoar, lately Rikku's design has been growing on me.

Everything just looks nice, except in-game at the start her 'Claw' looks like a skin-coloured hose hanging off her arm. I'm starting to get closer to more complicated, heavier weapons for her which is making me happy. Also she's a very versatile character. But. Back to design.

I love the boots, especially the colours and how it matches the glove on her left. She just looks so excellent in that picture, I actually like this design more than her FFX-2 one. It really captures 'Rikku'.
 
My favorite character design is definitely Rosa's, from FFIV. <3

he doesn't really have an outfit but l liked Red XIII's appearance. he just looks like a BAMF. How many wolf-like animals do you know that have a comb in their hair, a flaming tail, and a tatoo? not to many i hope.
