Final Fantasy VII and IX (Also IV & VI). I like most but those listed are my favourites out of the series but the reason I have listed both VII and IX because firstly, FFVII introduced me to RPG's and the FF series. It was my favourite for a long time but now FFIX has taken over that spot. I've had FFIX for awhile but the more I played it, the more I loved it. FFVII still holds a good spot though as I have played that many of times with the same PC discs when I first got a PC (yes, it was my first PC game ever and I still have it today, but just hanging onto it's life
). Reasons FFIV and VI get a mention aswell because they had, in my opinion some of the best characters in the franchise.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (and Twilight Princess) - Probably my favourite N64 game, amazing. Twilight Princess does remind me of Ocarina of Time which I like. Also loved how the Wii controls for it. Ocarina of Time is better in my opinion but both are great. Some of the older FF games have been released on the Virtual Console so I should buy them, A Link to the Past first.
GoldenEye 007 - One of the best FPS and one of the best (if not the best) film-to-game port.
Perfect Dark - Similar to GoldenEye but the co-operative mode is brilliant and even doing versus mode, me and someone else against a bunch of bots was fun.
Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy Kong's Quest (and Donkey Kong Country) - I just love this game. We bought it on the Virtual Console again. Too bad my SNES broke around the time I had Diddy Kong's Quest.
Hopefully it will see a Virtual Console release. I liked Diddy Kong's Quest even more than the first which is why I liked about DKC. Haven't played the other ones as I mentioned earlier - my SNES broke.
Mario Kart - Best racing game. I'm not much of a racing game fan but it was absolutely brilliant.
Lylat Wars (a.k.a StarFox 64) - Easy game but it got so addictive that you would play it over, and over, and over, and over etc. Lots of fun.
Super Smash Bros. (and Melee) - It started a brilliant fighting game. Lots of action and fun. Can't wait for Brawl.
Pro Evolution Soccer (1-6) - Love these games. A lot of people prefer FIFA but PES' gameplay is amazing. It does lack in the amount of licensed teams compared to FIFA but it is the gameplay that matters.
Grand Thef Auto III (Also Vice City & San Andreas) - This game did take my breath away when I watched my brother play it and I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. GTAIII made GTA what it is today and I can see why after playing it.
Mafia - Similar to GTA. This game does get overlooked a lot mainly because it was originally a PC game but the game was a bad console port. It had a great story and gameplay. It felt very realistic (Well, 30's realistic) and wasn't in the same sense as GTA (as in running around blowing shit up). Their is plenty of missions and the ending was great. The console ports have let the game down as most people would probably buy the console ports and the controls just don't make it as fun as the PC. Even just reading reviews on websites you could tell there is a vast difference between PC and PS2/Xbox.
There is probably more but that is off the top of my head.
EDIT: Just found out that Diddy Kong's Quest has been released on VC.
