Fan Games!?

This is a big topic on communities that focus on game making as a hobby. And I for one have seen and played a few FF Fan Games (FFFG). I thought I would ask other people who like FF about what they think about Fan Games.

They're alright, but most of them use RPG Maker and I'd rather see them do something original. Two I can remember off the top of my head are Dark Cloud and Final Fantasy Universe.

Yeah the Avalanche game though I everything just leads to the same article with no link to download it I'll try search for others I guess but that one looks pretty good and I wasnted to try it.
